Not sure if this is worth being in the thread, but it made me rage.

Was in xp in mire leveling SCH, synced to 70. There's a SAM/WAR in the party... gimp. Very gimp. You'd think at 70, a gimp SAM would be sporting his new DOMARU... but no... god no... he is wearing a Sipahi body. But hey, I want xp, so I'll use my band and see where things go from there.

About 20 minutes into the party the SAM/WAR says, "diseased" (from a Jnun). I ignored him, because we're never resting. A minute later, he says, "Are you going to give me viruna or not?" I said, "Do you even know what diseased does?" and he said "Yes, I'm not stupid... now Viruna me dammit!" Keep in mind we're never resting, ever. Being diseased is not hurting him in any way. I just ignore him again, because casting it on him is a waste of 44 MP.

A minute later he says, "God... noob mages who don't do their job piss me off."

I was already in a bad mood, after a bad day, and my patience was gone. I said, "My JOB is to be MP effecient and wasting 44 MP on Viruna'ing you is pointless. Would you like me to start giving you Silena you as well?" He says, "If you were doing your job, I wouldn't need to ask." At this point I'm just pissed off, so I say, "Listen... given your body armor choice alone, you're retarded, and everything you say is null and void... so shut the fuck up before I lose what little patience I have left."

The final straw... the MNK replies with, "No need to be an ass. His body armor is fine."

I DC'd.

Thought I'd post our latest DL in here.

We had recruited a new guy recently who seemed OK to me(talked to him about gear/merit choices etc, apply seemed ok), and I told him to come BRD to our DL after we made our way up there.

He told me he had to mule for BRD gear, I said it's ok to come naked on BRD since he won't be doing much but singing. So he did.

Started off with him taking the wrong OP(Beaucedine), as well as being BRD/NIN. When he got in finally and got to DL, we set up parties, called songs for the 2 BRDs and the rotation. I called the SV time, and he just stood there. We spammed some calls of course since we thought he was afk, and it turns out he wasn't, as he said "I'm here".. anyway with a 20 second delay he did his SV, and started singing marches.. with no Horn and no Harpe equipped. We asked to equip one, and all he did was tell us he didn't bring one(when he could have easily told us beforehand so we could help him out).
Of course this isn't the end, after first song he ran up to our RDM/DRK and started singing ballad in a different party. We got him to drop the party, and he joined the second DD one. He didn't cast any songs after we asked him to, so we just pulled DL without Marches up since the other BRDs SV songs were about to wear off already.

Needless to say we did not win as we had 16 people, and the majority of the DD being DRKs.

Does this count as random fail

I don't get why people feel entitled to receive currency from dynamis. Someone else paid 500k for the hourglass so it's their currency for their relic weapon. If you're in a LS where the hourglass price is split between members (which never seems to work from what I've seen), then why do you deserve the currency? Isn't the chance to get relic armor for free twice a week enough?

If you're in a LS where the hourglass price is split between members (which never seems to work from what I've seen), then why do you deserve the currency? Isn't the chance to get relic armor for free twice a week enough?

An average dynamis run is producing upwards of 3mil in currency in addition to the relic armor. Fronting 500k cannot be considered much in this day and age, so your effort is producing (1 / X) * (Y - 500k) where X is the number of people and Y is the amount of currency generated that run. You have it backwards, one person paying for glass and keeping all currency is far more unfair than an even split.. the only reason sponsored relics work in larger shells is because relics are looked at as a gear handout(and those shells can manage to crank out more for dedicated members as time passes.. a single sponsor in a dyna only shell is an asshole tanking advantage of a few idiots).

I mostly agree with Thorny, but I wanted to add in that the fact you have to spend 3.5 hours doing the most boring ass event in the world twice a week is so far from free I don't know what to say. Also, ask said person that "paid 500k for the hourglass" if you can do it next time. If they say yes, then maybe they care/are fair. If they say no, they're just a douchebag abusing you.

If someone isn't enjoying an event they can just stop going. I don't mind dynamis compared to some other headaches in this game. There'll always be a line of RDMs waiting for their hats among other drops so it's not like there is a shortage of people doing dynamis. I haven't looked too much into how my LS's sponsoring works but I know when currency drops it's held into the LS bank until someone can make an upgrade. One of the sacks is working on GHorn right now so I'm fine with getting relics while he works on his horn.

Why on earth would you want to join a "I want a Relic so I am gonna make a dynamis shell" group? You will just get forced to farm cities.
