You know I've found its harder to explain the mechanics of the game to people IRL >_> I work with alot of MMO players and have ran into a few FFXI people. We'll get talking about something and they'll say something completely wrong. When I try to explain it to them, a large majority of the time they don't want to hear it. They'll be really into the conversation and as soon as I go "Well actually..." they lose interest and trail off to a different subject. People just don't like to be corrected in a face to face conversation.

None of that stuff is particularly challenging to ding into, honestly, depending on your other jobs and your LS's activity at kings. That, combined with people astral burning jobs up nowadays... I don't find it very unusual at all, honestly.

While regrouping for our second fail (but successful) DM attempt, our Galka WHM/BLM advertises his poor choice in merits. Also, it looked like he wore full AF+Noble's Tunic.

There was so much fail that night. Fighting down in the circle. Multiple people deleveling to 74. A PLD attempting supertank with no clue how that is supposed to actually work (he has hate on the mobs he is tanking) and is standing clear on the opposite side of the circle. Someone down in the circle getting up after the AAs had already reset and everyone who died on the stairs had already got up and was trying to recover (whee! wipe again!). On our first run, we had 2 guys left standing when the RDM decides to blow his 2hour after he is specifically told there is only 1 minute remaining before we get kicked out (spoiler: he does absolutely nothing while it is up). And to top it off, one of the guys advertised that his shell is recruiting (to be fair, since it was partially a pickup group, I'm not sure that they should be taking sole responsibility for the clusterfuck).

I lost 1500~ exps on WHM with RR3 every time. Why did I have to pick the wrong DM earring the first time? Why?
