Wet [PS3]

Sorry if this isn't the right area to ask but I couldn't find anything in the search functions!

Has anyone played the full version of this game yet? It received 'decent' ratings from various magazines but everywhere I turn to it's not getting good customer reviews. I'm kinda scurred to listen to the reviews from said customers though because they sound like they are about 13 years old.

I'm just curious, considering Bethesda is the creator, if it's a game along the lines of Fallout/TES or another simple FPS with levels. I don't enjoy FPS games unless I have complete and total freedom of what to do, where to go, and when to do what I want.

It's a third person shooter, there is a demo on the PS store (If it isn't in the US store then it is in the EU store, make a EU account). I played it and didn't like it much, it was fun for a bit, but it wore off pretty quickly.

Ummmm, I played the demo and the game isn't a FPS at all. Its an action 3rd person shooter that has a strong Kill Bill, Taratino overtone. The demo had some really cool shit, but it ended up feeling like one of those action games that could have been great but just fall short. The controls were not tight enough and it had at least in the demo collison detection issues. Was decently fun over the top action tho.

Edit: Bah, beaten by Sho. And the demo is available in the US store.

i'm actually playing this on 360 right now and digging it big time. it's similar to max payne due to the bullet time but you get to do some pretty awesome acrobatics as well so i think it's worth it

pretty fun game overall, don't buy but go ahead and rent it for a week

Hmm, I didn't know the demo was available on the PS3 store thing. I don't keep my internet hooked into my PS3 so I'll give it a look tonight..

The only thing that worries me is everyone who has played the demo seems to dislike it.. yet people who have/currently are playing the full version tend to like it. Perhaps they fixed a lot of issues in the full version that people didn't like in the demo?

Unless they added a bunch more stuff you can do, I'd get bored. All you could do in the demo was slide on your knees to shoot, jump and shoot, or wallrun and shoot, sure it was fun for the first 10 minutes but it got pretty boring after that.

The one part of the demo I liked was the end, where it does that blood mode thing, where it has the red background, that was very over the top. The car part was okay, but ehh... I'm not a big fan of QTE sequences.

Ruby mode I believe it was called was good, just don't think this would be worth more then a rental at most.

Bethesda was just the publisher, they picked up the publishing rights a few months ago, im not sure how much they had to do with the development of the game.

I played the demo it seemed ok, pretty right on with a max payne/stranglehold feel. It's something I would rent and playthrough in the future.

its called rage mode when you get to those red levels. it's pretty insane, out of 12 levels there are 4(5?) that are in that mode which is nice because it takes you out of the normal run and shot shit

the controls are a bit tough, not free flowing like your typical fps but you get used to it after a couple of boards

also totally not getting tired of it, each level has it owns unique set of obstacles that are fun to use. i'm on my 3rd playthru working on the golden bullets ach and so far its still keeping me wanting to play

I hated it the first time I played the demo, liked it the second time, and after mastering the controls, I loved it. Honestly want to pick this up, but with the amount of games coming up in the near future, borderlands, fallout3 GOTY, MW2; I don't know if I'll have the cash sitting around. ;x

I just didn't get this game. Style wise it was fun, but the control scheme was so shitty that it was an instant turnoff. :\

It's pretty much a good Stranglehold, with some nice visual effects too.

This game is pretty underwhelming. DMC/GoW has spoiled me when it comes to action game controls, I just couldn't enjoy it because everything felt so sloppy. I guess it's worth a rent, but definitely not worth a buy.

I'd assume at least 3 hours long, requiring multiple completions due to choices made. Plus the additional trophies that are not story related.

Since i did it on normal without upgrades *AND IT WAS INSANE! HARDER THAN BIOSHOCK ON HARDEST FIGHTING 2 BIG DADDIES AT ONCE... till you get the grove then its a lot of redo/planning =X* and i failed to do it playing the WHOLE game... thats 1 play

So 1 = getting 50k, trying to get all default trophies IE Pistol/Sword/Explosion/if youre lucky turret... etc *monkies too if points dont count*

2 = Beating hard, maxing rubi powers, and trying to get 1 - 2 of the KIlll 200 with ____, and if you failed the turret try that same with the monkies, but your main goal is to get 200 shotgun or something kills =P

3 = Golden, Try to max all weapons, and get the remaining kill 200 with ____, and same as above

4 = Hardest, if you pulled off the max weapons/rubi and you havent bought all weapons *its easier if you buy stuff trust me!* if you need buy all try to do it here, but make sure to get atleast all rubi/weapon trophies, so that you can buy whatever you need in this mode... again try to get ___ if you still need it

If you havent pulled off something in the other playthoughs, like max rubi/weapons/cash, play again till you get them...

Not 100% on the time it takes to do 1 play through however.

game is 12 levels long, i completed it on my first rental night, i believe i have about 600/1000 including all gun ach's minus the crossbow

if anything its an ach whore game that has an easy 500 gscore attached to it

playing golden bullets is really fun, i thin the people here that are bashing it didnt give it a long enough play to master the controls
