With what seems to be such limited carrying and storage space, what items do you absolutely want to hang on to? I have like 50 of the manastones of varying types, power shards, and the material (?) orbs.

Just npc the damned things, broker them off, or are they worth hanging on to for some greater purpose?

I'm sure most of not just getting rid of this stuff is too long in the ffxi and figuring ~everything~ has a bigger use and even the stuff I won't use npc's for next to nothing compared to it's ah/sellable worth

The game WILL force DC you. Go afk for 26 hours (I was in game either 26 or 27) and instead of the "You have been playing for blah hours, please take a break" was changed to "You have been playing 26 hours .. your connection will terminate in 30 m. Please take a break"

The Server Ranking and other server statistic features are really cool, not to mention the AH and Mail services that you can get once you log in.

Its nice to see such functionality and forethought come through on day 1.

Yeah, I just found that earlier. It's really neat that all you have to do is log into the site and you can see what sold while you were gone.

I must say, I am liking Asmo more than Elyos. Maybe it's mostly a cosmetic thing... I just think the zones are nicer. They strike me as more fantasy/mystical. Or maybe it's just the fact that this is the third time running through the Elyos quests and it's just new.

Fairly annoying Chat channels problem. Anyone else noticing it? Essentially, with no warning, channels 1+ just go away. If you type "/1" or any of the others, you get nothing. More than a little annoying when you are trying to look for a group or help with something that the old Legionfaces can't help with.

I think you have to type /Normal or something to turn on/off? Probably wrong though, test it.

How do you check your auctions/mail?

On the main Aion webpage, top left side under all the Home, News, etc tabs. "Have an account? Log in."

Once logged in just click on your name, where the log in message was, for a drop down menu.
