i mean by comparison, launch-wise it's been at least decent hasn't it? yes, queue times are shit and i had an infuriating 6 hour wait last night, but once you're in i've found stability, lag, any sort of issue to be minimal. i can play the game great, have a good experience when i'm doing it.

also, something overlooked that i think was brilliant on NCSoft's part was the grace period of 5 minutes you get to log back into the server and skip the queue if you were disconnected or crashed from the game. i don't think WoW did that when it had queues, and let's all not pretend like WoW's launch was one huge clusterfuck of unplayability.

WoW has a 15 minute grace period if you DC and there are queues.

Your image of how good Aion's Launch is really depends on what server you are on. XD

Lag has been extremely minimal, but for fuck's sake, they don't have enough servers. Haven't had any queues except for a 2-minutes queue the first time I logged in at the beginning of prestart, but I guess half the servers are bad. There also aren't enough channels in Verteron... really sucked ass trying to do quests the first day, and we got shit for NM drops when raiding krall.

In my experience, this launch is the best I've had in 10+ MMO's. The longest que I've had was 12 minutes and there has been 0 lag what-so-ever.

FFXI add-ons have taught me an everlasting lesson not to participate in an online event if you anticipate too many players. So for me this has been the best launch ever. The same goes for reality, and so I don't do black fridays.

I get lag in cities where I'm bombarded with store messages. Other than that it's pretty smooth. I get pretty good lag in the starting cutscene, haven't been able to watch that.

I tried to log in, before I knew about the maintenance, and it told me my account isn't active because I lack payment information. So I'm assuming that means free preorder time is over, need the real game code and to set up payment.

I still haven't gotten the oh, so important, call from GameStop. I'm about to go there and bitch'em out then head over to Best Buy to grab it there.

Picked up the last Collector's Edition and a normal one from Best Buy, even though I pre-ordered 2 CE (not both for me). Give Gamestop some hell, then go grab it from BB.
