So I've looked through like 10 different websites trying to figure this out and gotten no where. Is there a static list of X enemies that drop X special equipment like NM's in FFXI? Or is it the case that certain drops are totally random among a vast array of enemies in certain areas?

I can't find any info to this effect. For example where would I get a Tropical Sword/GS? Searching for "named mobs" or "rare spawns" or even specific enemy names brings up only a handful of unhelpful links.

I use AionArmory.com but it is not 100% complete data. It is, however, the best place for item/quest data I have found yet.

AionArmory, just like it's conterparts for WoW and Warhammer, is good but.. lacking. I, too, would like a "rare spawn" list just to see what drops what. There's got to be more out there than what is listed.

I'm really liking the music for this game. The fast paced battle music in certain areas(starter area for one) here on the Asmo side makes me want to keep going. One of the slow, sad sounding, songs in Morheim is rather pretty. I also like the Deava of Song's song, even if the english is a bit hard to understand here and there. Kind of sad I didn't get the CE for the soundtrack, heh.

Isn't it awesome? I especially love it when mobs can chaincast their stun abilities on me, or when I'm running away from a mob and it hits me from 30 yards out with a 'Strike' that knocks me backwards towards the mob again. Best combat mechanics ever.

All the mob abilities that have a spellcast bar are ranged, which actually is kinda cool for rangers as we can focus evasion dodge any of them

So I ran the training instance for the first time last night before I went to bed. Everything was going fine, got half my level in one run. Killed the boss, and he just so happened to drop a blue staff. Lotted it and the cleric in the group lotted over me >_> Thats nice.. a cleric lotting a really nice staff over a chanter..

So Indalecia lotted it not realizing it was bind on pickup and won. D: But oh well, if I can't use it, no one can!

Too bad it looks fucking awesome

Yeah the Need/greed system from warhammer needs implementing for group drops, you can only roll if you can use it.
Sucks seeing awesome shit dropping and someone rolling to AH it.

No fucking way was I gonna let a cleric walk a staff on a chanter. I intended to give to her but didnt see bind on pickup.

Oh well, least I got a lvl 29 enchantment stone.

I read it gets resisted alot in PvP, I hope this isn't true for our current patch or was a problem with old patches? Or do you simply need Magic Accuracy to ensure it hits? Or is it accuracy based?

Anyone care to explain how the loot system works in group? Rather annoying to solo a mob and not be able to loot it

I keep coming back to the Aion part of these forums.. Played the closed beta quite a bit and loved it (except for dying in the Abyss a hundred times or so) and said to myself I wouldn't get it.. but its so tempting!
