Anyone care to explain how the loot system works in group? Rather annoying to solo a mob and not be able to loot it

Also looking for some information link (wiki w/e)

Loot is simple when a mob die, a random person can loot out of it, if the item on it is a good one, (aka rare or more(for FFXI language)) then it pop a windows asking loot or pass.

And everyone in the PT use loot or pass, (with a 15sec timer) after the timer passed or everyone choose to loot or pass well the item goes to the highest bidder, if all passed item is destroyed.



Of course there is some kind of greed, like in my Party i had a Templar looting Chain armor because he needed money, and he used the noob sentence, (if i can loot it why would i pass). So he took it instead of passing to someone who could equip it and have a better use of it like me or the chanter in our group, but meh greed is a part of everygame.


The good knows is when you have a friend in PT, to help you win lot then trade you the item, so you can equip if you lost the lot with random noobs.

So I ran the training instance for the first time last night before I went to bed. Everything was going fine, got half my level in one run. Killed the boss, and he just so happened to drop a blue staff. Lotted it and the cleric in the group lotted over me >_> Thats nice.. a cleric lotting a really nice staff over a chanter..

So Indalecia lotted it not realizing it was bind on pickup and won. D: But oh well, if I can't use it, no one can!

It does not bind on pick up. It binds when equip. All Green+ are soul bound when equip.

Yesterday max I had was like 30 minutes... but being Sunday and all, i'm looking at 2 hours queues (if I can even get in the queue, that is.)

I've had no queues since launch on EU, get off the overcrowded as shit servers ( Spatalos /Perento ).

Not sure if it was in this thread someone mentioned blue gear being ninja'd from them, happened to me this morning a piece of my l30 daevination gear dropped and some spiritmaster nooblet looted it, i was very pissed off to say the least, the worst thing was he was the leader and an idiot and kept ninjapulling packs.

Not sure if it was in this thread someone mentioned blue gear being ninja'd from them, happened to me this morning a piece of my l30 daevination gear dropped and some spiritmaster nooblet looted it, i was very pissed off to say the least, the worst thing was he was the leader and an idiot and kept ninjapulling packs.

Sadly it didn't stop it completely. It just limited who could do it. Still had people Needing on crap just because they could to sell it over others who could use it. I had a level 27 WL lot on Invader Boots over me and win when he barely had enough Renown to wear the Tier2 stuff...

But I do agree that it's better than the current free-for-all.

Also, noticing the trend for RMT here. Preferred jobs: Gladiator, Assassin, Chanter. I've not seen a normal sized one yet, they all go tiny. They don't bother putting titles on either. There's a bunch of level 30 Assassin's out by King Zugog area killing Sparkles. There's also a level 11 Chanter in Morheim farming Aethyr and lands in the same exact spot when she's done. Been there for over a day, same spot.

lol. any piece of daevanion gear can be converted to any other piece in any other set for a fee. you can't "ninja" it, any piece is equally amazing for anyone.
