You need an NA key to play NA version.

When I try to launch from Steam, it just opens the Ncsoft launcher and the steam overlay doesn't work :< oh well

Steam overlay will probably never work (due to Game Guard).

Also, the NA and EU clients are 100% the same. You just change your region on the NCSoft Launcher and it'll connect to the EU login server instead of the NA one (or the opposite).

As stated earlier, the keys are different - to make a valid EU playing account you need an EU key, and to create a valid NA playing account you need a NA key.

Spatalos looks like the general server for us brits, unfortunately some other forgein legions think they're going to be awesome by invading our server.

Like any territorial gains the british made, we were here first sort of covers the basis for it being declared "our" server.

How can you be first anywhere when the game is not out yet? Anyway I don't know why I even ask the question because they whole idea of owning servers by certain nations was always dumb to me if it wasn't declared by the creators themselves.

Its mainly due to the fact that there are 4-5 servers for english speaking, 3-4 for french & 3-4 for german. many EU languages are not being catered for and we basically would rather play with more in our own tounge than have to see spam in cryllic or in sweedish or norweigan all day on an english speaking server.

Seems kind of counter-intuitive to even have official-language servers if they're only going to support English, French, and German. I feel bad for whatever server gets to receive the "jajajajaja xDxDxDxD" invasion.

Yes and the english speaking are created for all those nations that don't get their own servers. The 4-5 is not enough to cover all of them if each wanted to choose one of their own. Btw. specific language channels are there for a reason.

Gets even worse when RPers start claiming servers too.

I went through the AS server legion lists(east) this morning and they look so unbalanced. The server our Asmo legion picked is also the one that all the top legions from other games seem to have selected. I'm kinda worried about having our members locked out. Is there any news as to what the cut off will be? I know these are not accurate as some legions don't use AS.

Israphel Legions - 60
Zikel Legions - 97
Triniel Legions - 53
Lumiel Legions - RP server, looks empty
Marchutan Legions - 20, looks dull
Azphel Legions - 90 - the one we picked

just remember that these numbers are most likely going to change since a lot of legions are going to be moving due to the oceanic server change; not sure if these are pre-change figures.

Yeah good point. I assumed they were on the west coast servers though so i didn't really factor them in.

NCsoft Launcher:

File > Settings > Advanced

Allow multiple instances of a game to be launched.

Personally haven't done it myself, but that seems like how. Apologies if that's incorrect.

clicked on launching Aion again and it opened up 2.

EDIT:

BTW, to complete registering a new account, do you have to log-in to the game (which of course requires the servers to be up)?

I bought another copy. And when I go to apply the serial code, it tells me to log-in in the game.

I bought an open beta key from this website that just sells these types of things and I preordered the actual game 2 days ago from Amazon. I checked my account status for the one i used in open beta and it says preorder so I'm good right? Just have to put in the serial code once the actual game arrives?

Btw is Vaizel an east coast server? Gonna hop on this one if this is where all you elyos are going.
