So, how are you guys all liking Aion? I preordered but didn't buy it because strangely Fallen Earth has taken my fancy. Talk about a game that is about the opposite of Aion, but I find it fun. Aion has it way over Fallen Earth in character creation and probably the gameplay is easier to learn coming from FFXI but for some reason it just didn't grab me in closed and open beta.

Now my question is do you guys really like Aion or is it a placeholder for something else? Just wondering because I used to love to play ffxi and am now bored of it and looking for a new mmo.

Don't flame me plz, I am not trying to troll just really asking.

I enjoy it quite a bit. I am definitely sticking with it. There is no way in HELL I would ever play FFXIV. I will never play another SE MMO, never. (I didn't get banned or anything, I just think they made a really shitty game and had really shitty devs/support.) Played it for 4 years too...

So apparently the self proclaimed "top" zerg of Siel got caught exploiting to level. Which is hilarious because there is zero need to exploit or bot to level fast.

yeah it's simple kiting and taking advantage of the AI. the OP there doesn't know too much or trolling/hating/qq.

Its not simple "kiting," I used that exploit to level in C-Aion. You literally *stand still* and the mob can't get to you. There's no way for the mob to get to you, you just sit and wail on them for free exp.

If it was legit kiting, NCsoft wouldn't have patched/banned people for using the other glitch spots.

That's a different one than what they were doing I think. There's one where you use the log ontop to kite on, then the spot below the platform where they can't do anything.

If what they were doing was legal, they wouldn't port out whenever they see people coming lol. The only reason they got screened was because a sin used hide and ran up to them.

You think they would actually record themselves exploiting? Of course they made a video of legit kitting to "prove" their innocence.

Also fun fact, the Interdikta glitch spot is still in game. Good luck trying to catch people using it though, that place is so annoying to get to ._.;

Personally I never liked soloing eliets, or even group grinding them, it's too boring. I can make similar exp solo grinding in the abyss, getting ap and crafting mats while exping. Last night I was getting ~2 bubbles/hour and made 1.7m off balaur (go go godstone drop) beats the hell out of leph camp imo.


The only time I like grouping to kill eliets is when we do Steel Rake, god that place is fun :D

Yeah, I did most of my grinding in abyss before this. I'm not in that much need of AP, and I don't have to fight for camps or get ganked. I found Bollvig's Tragedy last night, tried selling for 1.5mil in bazaar but no luck. I have no idea how much godstones should sell for

I rarely have competition where I grind, I kill fast enough to shut anyone else out of mobs if they try to compete with me. Getting ganked is no biggie either, I just kill them while my pet finishes off the current mob lol. Once I get enough ap for my next gold I'll probably hit up theobomos, but until then I'm staying put.

Which godstone is that? I got a bleed one that I sold to a legion mate for a mil, beats having to spend ap getting one.

Not a fan of solo abyss grinding. I'll do each quest once, but I'm insanely paranoid while doing so and jump so much that it's probably unhealthy. I'd rather spend an hour a day on the offensive hunting asmos and making them paranoid instead, and then go grind in PvE.

I was the same until I got fear shreik and better gear. Now I get excited whenevery my radar goes off, because I know I'm getting free ap.

@noobta: wow that's a nice find, you can definately get at least a mil for it; though it might take a few days to sell.

Yesterday morning i had the most fun i ever had in this game.

I went with Syntex and Eanae to a rift at around 10AM EST, and we litteraly destroyed all we saw.

We got 2 people that we found there to join us and we really had fun killing all the elyos otw. (sadly most of them were rank 6 to 9 though but still.)

Our best fun was when we beat the shit out of a rank 3, before he called the Zerg squad on us on IRC, then we had to gtfo .

The sad part is that when the zerg squad found us and beat us, well our kisk timer went off so we had to stop, but fun nonetheless.


Funny part is how the elyos were stupid on triniel yesterday.

I arrive at the Rift late and everyone is far ahead of me, so i exit the mines (forgot the name) to find 6 elyos camping the gate and kill me, So i wait to reraise and they decide to enter the gate to kill some mobs + camp asmo, at this time they were 2 close to the gate, so i reraise and start running with my Soulsickness on and was able to join syntex and Eanae that were otw to help me, and the elyos never followed me lol.

Funny funny stuff (when iraised they were like at 6feet from me so unless they let me go or they didn't saw me lol

There are a bunch of group quests in there, so the most likely answer is they were pregrouped for the quests.
