Aion the movie!
Aion the movie!
HOLY CRAP that old lady scared me ._.
Freaky shit...
I don't play this game but a friend tells me that goldsellers have completely taken over her server and said its about as bad as when gilsellers took sky over back in the day on FFXI.
Is it this bad on other servers or is it just a hit or a miss?
pics or gtfo.
Jk. Anyway, most of the items are pretty much under control because there are alot of money sinks for this game like soul heal fee, teleport, the wing, spell books ( cost shit tons of money ). So people dont really have much money to throw around to inflate the economy.
Inflating the economy is a good thing... not sure why people believe SE's philosophy of "farm 2 weeks to buy food".
I don't know if its incredibly easy to make money or get gear in the 20's now but all of my friends that started after launch have like.. full gearset of blues and millions of kinah etc. I am very jealous, I should not have ignored my extract vitality and crafts to level lol
There were a ton of goldsellers farming/exping at the Drake Habitat last night on the Elyos side. I'm assuming an expensive stigma drops there because they were competing for pops which can't be good xp. Took me 15 mins or so to get my magic super crystal thingy for my campain quest while waiting on a Kaiden Mines group.
It's a different kind of "taken over". The bombardment of advertising in the chat channels and in whispers is a HUGE problem that needs to be addressed. The Ignore List was effective for a little while but just doesn't cut it anymore because it filled up way too quick. They need to at least uncap it so there's a temporary solution.
The fact that RMT are using some kind of tool to access the game server & chat channels is a serious problem too.. Then again, the most obvious fix - using GameGuard to block third party apps - is one that no one in the actual player base can stand.
Those two issues aside, I just don't see how RMT really pose a threat to the player base at large. The game steers everyone towards PvP, which they wouldn't be interested in because it doesn't rake in the Kinah. As far as NM camping/hunting goes, enough players are auto-reporting RMT that they will probably not be able to get a good group of high level players to actually pose a threat to serious guilds. And the best gear in the game isn't purchased with Kinah either.
I could see the possibility of them or someone else writing a client that would work with the chat servers without even being connected to the game as they come from different IP addresses; I noticed this when I left PeerBlock on that I could get on the server after allowing it but I was not getting any /1, /2, /3, etc. Alt-tab out and sure enough still getting hits for NCsoft on PeerBlock.
Must definitely be a server specific thing, or the people themselves knowing crafters to spam the synths for them. I know I sat down and calculated how much it'd cost to make a Blue 38 piece and price listed on AH was literally 60x material costs. Of course, the one person I know with Armorsmithing wasn't that high yet. :/
I play on Azphel and yes there are a TON of gold selling spamming RMT. My friend and i still call them Gil sellers. Easy enough to just block them to avoid the global channel spam. They bot a decent amount too but its never really been bad enough to effect my game play. Money doesn't seem too hard to come by, for necessity's at least. I have 1mil Kinnah and i just hit level 32. Training at 34 is 481k for my class though, but I'm sure I'll make a ton more by then. Just vendor all trash and AH greens blues and some crafting supplys/gathered items.
In the early 20's I was making kinah like gang busters, but it's slowed down to a near halt. I can grind out some cash while I level, but then my friends (who started sooner and have fallen behind) give me the stink eye. So I'm gonna work on crafting and gathering, but there's only so much of that I can do before I want to go kill something.
I'm closing in on 30 and look like a scrub. Gotta find some way.
I'm kind of annoyed how Alchemy is already mirroring FFXI. Check the AH for Amalil, averaging about 1200 per single. Go to take a peek at how much Greater Mana Potions are selling for... 1500 per single. Factor in the Glass Bottles and Elemental Water on top of AH and you're pretty much break even or loss. Fuck. Sure, I could go gather the stuff, but the fact it's usually around aggro aside, why not just sell the crap itself and let other Alchemists fight over undercutting?
Because if you take the time to level it, you may make profits on the high-level crafts later? That's really the whole idea behind crafting (among other things), isn't it? Spend some time and money now, and hope to make it back later?
Aside from people that enjoy crafting itself, of course.
Well, understand my motivation isn't too high in continuing if, even now, people aren't buying what I'm trying to sell. I'd tried some orbs, too, but didn't HQ any and just wound up extracting them after 8 days passed to sell the stones to at least make some money out of it.
At the moment, I haven't looked to far ahead to see what comes after 400. I'm 310 now. 100 level cycle seems to have a tier of HP/MP over time potions and all in one go. You'll get a few books and a few orbs on top of that. Resist scrolls don't strike me as terribly popular yet (and may be a Templar only affair) and if people aren't buying HP/MP shit to stay alive, I can't see them arsing toward running/crit/flight scrolls. Honestly, I don't think I'm being unreasonable with my pricing, but I know I didn't spend what I have to get to 310 just to run charity for folks. If they want that, then THEY can send me the mats. Hell, I had one guy in my legion telling me to send him free potions. I basically told him to fuck off in more polite terms. Warm and fuzzy feelings aren't gonna get me gear, especially from dudes presently 10+ levels under me.![]()
Since windows 7 is coming out next week i wanted to know if people were having problems with a fresh windows 7 install and aion in any way. Is there anything i should do now to avoid problems later? I had problems with aion and vista but that was when gameguard was still involved and since they took that out i havnt had a problem since.
so basically, any concerns for windows 7 and aion installation?
No problems here.
I`m in the same boat here. Except my extract vitality is decent I think (189 at lv 28) Most people in my legion who are my level and higher are all full blue or gold gear with millions of kinah and I just can`t figure out what I`m doing wrong. I have Tailoring at 148, and I made a pair of Noble Durable Twisp Shoes but they aren`t selling and they`re priced at roughly the same as the others on AH (those aren`t selling either.) I don`t know what the other guys have been doing to get so rich :/
Though, the highest level guy in my legion plays almost 24/7, his armorsmithing is 300+, his gathering is 300+, and his aethering is 200+. The 2nd highest guy in the legion is a templar and chanter 2box who camped Chief Kumbaroon for 3 weeks straight, 2 weeks of which he camped all BC bosses as well.
I honestly make more reliable, consistent money farming up kandula and azpha and making the little HP and MP pots and selling those on broker.
