No its not. Everyone has +attack speed which speeds up every animation your char does and they also all have +movement speed. This is how the game is going to be like at 50 lol

Whoever wrote that is deluding themselves, and should roll a fresh character on a new FFXI server and see what takes longer, FFXI to 75 including a proper sub, or aion to 50. I bet aion is faster.

Yes with friends, everyone w/ good gear and someone dual boxing an rdm/brd you can get a 75 in a week of hardcore play.

Most "new" FFXI players probably would have quit before 75 if they'd played oldschool FFXI.

The RMT spam says something like Lv1-40 in 5days.

But you have to remember when FFXI first came out, pre-ToAU, exping was a lot slower, and 5k/hr partys were good. And it took me 1year of just being an ass etc. to get my first 75.

Give it time and Aion will end up the same most probably, better exp rewards from quests, easier mobs to grind, and everyone knows exactly how to maximise exp/hour. It's just a marketing ploy to get people to play longer, and once people start to give up make it easier to hopefully change their minds and stay on.

- The Chat Window.

The main thing you'll notice about the chat window is that it is tiny. Most people from WoW get accustomed to this easier than FFXI folks but it really will put a strain on your eyes. The worst part however, is the fact that you cannot change the transparency of it. If you put your cursor over the chat window it gives it a little bit of a darkened background, but not much. In some zones you won't be able to even read the text, even with a mouse over, without having to point the camera at some darker ground or something, and trying to read the text while the cursor is not over it is next to impossible.

It took me a long time to get RDM to 75 when I first started playing. With the whole, if you don't have haste and refresh at the levels plus elemental staves you're considered gimp.

The guy in general is just QQ'ing he got ganked. But that is the whole entire point of the game. ._.; It's kill or be killed!

The ammount of ignorance in that topic is just astounding, i skimmed at a few of the QQing points, and my only comment is BooHoo. whining about a community thats not fully evolved yet, FFXI's didn't spawn over night, crying over a claiming system, its the typical wah wah BS you see from people who don't want to change their habits.

the OP of that topic obviously didn't get past G2 til ToAU, leveling in Aion is incredibly easy, yet incredibly grindy, what else do you expect from a Korean MMO. I'm guessing he missed out the parts in XI where you grind Birds for almost a solid 20 levels, and then even more birds for merits.

It's people like that I personally don't have the time for in Aion, if they don't like the game, they can get out.

Not even that, pre-ToAU there was no such thing as birds. FFXI players now and days don't know what it is like leveling with out TP burns. And they can't function outside of 4 DD's 1 RDM 1 BRD parties.

Or how about.. no enchanted items, pretty much no meds available at all for maat, limit breaks needing alliances, promyvions being 10x harder, twice as much exp 50-75, paladin not being unkillable, no sushi, no exp rings, no campaign shit, no multiple sources for gear, etc. Playing XI after 2005 = silver spoon.

we can only hope by the end of the month that some of these players are gone, but the truth is most of them will get to the early 40's then likely give up.

Was quite lolhardy actually. i then went to read one of the wahwah too hard threads and my eyes were bleeding because of one of the mods being 1. completely wrong in almost every aspect & 2. the colour of the font he was using. They can patch exp changes but unfortunatly you can't patch stupid.

The game isn't hard, ppl just want instant rewards and it to be ezy mode. You can easily log in for 1-2hrs a day and do a lot, but ppl expect every instance to at least drop something and you not needing to grind 5hrs+ per lv. Running FT 30+ times and never seeing anything would suck, but it just makes that gear all the more valuable/rare.

Bottom line is 80% of the QQ'rs are ppl who started w/WoW and that's what they have come to expect from a MMO. Most ppl who have started w/other games don't have a problem w/ the lving system because we are accustomed to it. But Aionsource posting a giant QQ on their front page pretty much made it lose any source of respect it had left.
