Took the words outta my mouth. We hardly dominated them. As I said before, I'm still floored somehow we made a game out of it. It is really one of those games that the Giants' fans can look at and say "wow, that game was a lot closer than it should've been".
Fake Jerry Jones and Wade Phillips are breaking the game down now. Hopefully they podcast it so I can post it.
Great week so far.
Vikings win. AP being AP. Farve doing well.
Jerry Jones getting a last second lolfreeze loss in his abomination of a stadium. (Yes, I'm jealous.)
My fantasy week is shaping up as 3-0 in BG leagues. Tyr needs over 40 points from Reggie Wayne to beat me in BGE.
im sorry but omarion manningham is not a no-name, pretty sure he is ranked right up there with fitzy and andre johnson, you video game nerds need to get a clue
he recorded this song on the plane ride back to NYC, I Get It In, refers to the endzone because this nig gonna break all kinda records this year
Where are all the emo Packer fans at? They were all over the place last week, and this week, they go missing. Broncos fans also want to complain about their team, but they cant yet, and its making me laugh.
Why are Cowboys fans surprised a team from Dallas choked again?
jerry jones has this ice box where his heart used to be
i think archi is the only die hard pack fan, surprised by his absence. also i read none of the thread from any of the 1 or 4 oclock games yesterday so headspace i need some page numbers for where you were posting when cinci won so i can enjoy your happiness
Report: San Francisco 49ers say New York Jets tampered with Michael Crabtree - ESPN
The San Francisco 49ers, mired in a contract impasse with first-round draft pick Michael Crabtree, have filed tampering charges with the NFL against the New York Jets, the New York Daily News has reported, citing unnamed sources.
The Jets denied the allegations through a spokesman, the paper reported.
"We'll let the NFL figure that one out," Jets coach Rex Ryan said Monday on "Mike and Mike in the Morning" on ESPN Radio. "I think it's ridiculous, personally."
According to the Daily News, specifics of the allegations weren't known.
"I wish we were playing them," Ryan said of the 49ers.
The newspaper reported the Jets continue to covet a big-name receiver after failing to land Percy Harvin in this year's draft. Harvin was picked 22nd by the Minnesota Vikings.
49ers team president Jed York has said he recently tried to schedule a face-to-face meeting with Crabtree and his representative, Eugene Parker, but hadn't heard back.
The 49ers have until Nov. 17 to sign Crabtree -- the 10th overall pick -- or surrender his rights, which would force him back into the pool for 2010's draft. Or they could trade his rights to another team by Oct. 20, the NFL's trade deadline.
Crabtree, who turned 22 this past Monday, hasn't accepted the 49ers' offer for approximately five years and $20 million with a reported $16 million guaranteed.
Oakland Raiders receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey, the No. 7 choice, signed a five-year contract that will guarantee him at least $23.5 million.
Jacksonville Jaguars top pick Eugene Monroe, taken eighth overall, signed a five-year, $25 million contract that includes $19 million guaranteed.
There have been multiple reports in the past month, including from his cousin, that Crabtree would re-enter the draft in 2010 and wait for the money he thinks he deserves.
Crabtree caught 97 passes for 1,165 yards and 19 touchdowns last year during his sophomore season at Texas Tech. He finished his college career with 231 receptions for 3,127 yards and 41 TDs.
Archi, like Weltall, posted about the bad calls that cost them the game. Anytime a game is within 1 score, it's the officiating.
And the Bengals should be 2-0. WHat did I say they'd win, 8 games when welt paypal'd me?
God I hope he does sit out, I would draft his ass again if I were San Fran at a much lower slot and not pay him worth a shit.
Speaking of homer...
Mario's stats this year: 13 Receptions, 208 yards, 2 TDs. His stats last night, 10 catches, 150 yards, 1TD. Which means against the mighty Washington defense last week, he had 3 receptions for 58 yards, and a TD.
So if you say one game makes him Lardre Johnsgerald, then I say the first game of this season, combined with last season's 4 catch for 26 yard season, with a caviat that his Michigan career was at best "not bad, pretty decent," then yes, you almost have to date a no-name receiver wearing #82 for NY. I personally wouldn't go that far, I consider him a decent NFL player(which at the end of the day is a life I would love).
But don't compare him to AJ, Fitz, Steve Smith(the real one, not NY's), Steve Smith(the other one), Steven A. Smith, Steve Nash, Steve Austin. Plaxico could come out of jail and suit up TONIGHT(okay, or the next Giants game) and be better.
