So I'm thinking of saving up and then getting myself a nice laptop that I can use for casual gaming. The only other thing I'd probably want it for is a Bluray drive.

I'm not hardcore by any means as far as getting latest and greatest, particularly since I'm about to get a 360. I figure on the laptop, I'd do FFXI, TF2, SFIV, then go old school and mess with Crysis and/or Farcry. So even though I want to play some of the great games, I want to play the ones that were getting all the rave reviews back in '06, '07, and '08, because back then, FFXI was the only game I was playing.

So with all of that wonderful backstory, are the laptops out right now good enough to run most or any of these games? Because I won't be looking to spend over $1K when it comes that time. Also, has it become more feasible nowadays to install video cards onto laptops? I know once upon a time, that was near impossible.
