I dot my celebrity off of ebay about a year ago for 2100 w/ free shipping from a liquidation in Ohio that couldn't get them out of the door before the store closed down. It's a good way to save ~1500 on something you will never regret again.

I have one of the knock-offs from Fortunoff. It's 18" deep. It definitely has the heat issue, but that's fixed with a feather bed on top (thanks to the wife lol). Out of all of the beds I've ever had, this is the most comfortable and easiest to knock the fuck out in.

I had back pain for a few years before finally getting one of these also. My back would go completely out on me a few times also. 5 years with a tempur and not again since.

Also, whenever I travel, no matter how nice the hotel bed is, after a couple of nights my back starts to feel it. The only thing close would be the W hotel bed - and I picked one of those up during one of their discount promo's a few years back for the guest room. Not foam but just a real nice firm mattress.

For ordering (both) I went thru 800-mattres(s) - no shipping charges, vs. like 200 that some other places wanted. Oh and they were like "hey you want it tonight?"

I recommend getting a Sleep Number bed. They are just as comfortable as Tempurpedic beds and cost half as much money. They also both offer in home trials (which I used to compare) so if you don't like it you don't have to buy it.

Whatever you get, make sure it has a trial period. His or her or my suggestion isn't guaranteed to work for you, and spending all that money on something you'll be stuck with sucks. And laying on it one day is not going to be indicative of a long term investment.
