i was cool with the second one. thanks yall
All of the jokes and characterizations have been in line with previous seasons.
The real difference is that going into this season they knew they would only have thirteen episodes and they probably wouldn't get renewed. The pacing is going to be faster and there's going to be a lot more focus on the relationships and character development.
The next episode is supposed to be even more packed than the season premiere. That doesn't bother me but I know the faster pacing puts some people off.
I think the halloween episode is drawing ire because it was supposed to air during...oh...Halloween!
It wasn't a bad episode, but its like watching an x-mas special after new years. Just feels wrong and it throws people off.
The season premier did have an odd feeling too it and it was obvious they were trying too hard.
Edit: I know it won't happen, but how would they even approach it if it does by some grace of divinity or underworld get renewed?
The renewal chances are pretty good at this point. Community is in the middle of NBC's god-awful ratings.
I'm curious about how they're going to write Pierce out of the show. He's in the season finale but he left before they were finished filming a couple other episodes. If/When they come back they'll have to explain his absence.
"Pierce is skipping because he's sick today" or something along those lines. With six characters, as important as the interaction between them is, I think they can get away with it. Just look at the last season of Scrubs (not the terrible med school season we never talk about, but the actual last season) where there were a number of episodes where random characters were not present.
I didn't mind scrubs med school edition. But that's mostly because little Franco is boss.
It's sad to say but they probably won't get renewed. There's not been enough Chang so far and that really sucks.
Allison Brie on the Daily Show tonight looking gorgeous in a green dress~
Watching the show now hurts inside...
I was kind of upset they showed some of the Inspector show... I love it as this enigma show that we would never see.
Interesting little quote from Andy Bobrow:
Explains the 404 room number much like the apartment number in Remedial Chaos Theory.First ep could have used study room but just didn't turn out that way (used it in the multi-cam scenes though). Second ep. had to be Halloween and we knew we wanted to do Pierce's mansion for that. We realized we were missing study room in first two, so third ep. was deliberately a campus episode. But then a decision was made to move ep. 4 up into that slot, because we felt it was more promotable and we wanted it earlier in the run.
During the opening when Troy and Brita are in bed, we see part of it. Also, with the convention, we know what some of the characters look like, that there was a female inspector, etc.
I hated on the first two episodes, but the Captain Spacewarp episode was pretty good.
Same, thought this was better than the first two, but still not quite there. Gives me hope that the rest of the season could get better, but then again it could get worse.
I thought Paranormal Parentage(episode 2) was as good as most S3 episodes. Definitely leagues ahead of any Chang ones.
