Amazing game, just beat it. 40hrs of playtime..Spoiler: show
The Witcher 1 is in-fucking-credible. It's unbelievable. I'm sucked in, all I want to do is play this game all day lol. Are people here saying the 2nd one is even better?
Yes, the second is even better.
2nd is splenderific. Especially if you have a good rig. It's very well detailed, and when I compare it to the last similar-PC RPG I played (although not PC-only), DA2 - the art direction/realization of the world/etc. is 1000000000x better. The lore is engrossing too. Combat gets fun, blah blah blah its an awesome game. I've had a string of bad preorders lately (Brink) but this and LA Noire were game-of-the-year level experiences.
So just finished

Even for the PS3. But I doubt it will come out on consoles.
CDP has stated they will likely bring the game to consoles, though hopefully if they do that they would actually finish up Rise of the White Wolf first (a remake of the original for PS3/360 that got canned about a year ago)
Okay so beat the first game for the first time in years. I forgot how much shit happened in that game. Really enjoyed playing it again. Once you're past the first chapter it really gets fun.
Started playing 2 tonight. Holy shit, I am floored by the amount of detail in the environments in this game. Supposedly the budget was only 10 million, which is absolutely incredible with the amount of work that is clearly visible. The combat is pretty fucking relentless as well, holy shit. I'm in the prologue dying to normal soldiers lmao. Fun as hell though. Definitely will be digging into it this weekend. Gonna try and do everything in the game, take my time and get around 75 hours out of it (supposedly you can get that much)
75 hours ? you'll probably get half that, though you will of couse want to do two play throughs given that roche and iorveths paths are very different.
If you die to each fight like six times like I do, you can get 75h no problem. Also, since not all the quests point you where to go it increases the time you spend looking for shit. I'm really impressed with detail and everything.
edit: 0=O, way to go CD key, derp me.
Key problems eh
And my game looks like this:

I guess it's a driver issue? I'm using a 460 GTX SE with the latest driver and I'm not sure what's wrong. I encountered the same problem with Two Worlds 2 in feb/march after upgrading from a 8800GT to the 460 and it messed Two Worlds 2 up. Would the latest beta driver update fix it?
