I can't figure why mama Petrelli would give Nathan that hat knowing he'd remember the accident with his girlfriend. Did she really want him to pursue things with the girl's mother? To what end? Wouldn't she have had dreams showing her what would happen to "Nathan"?

Did she know what he'd remember? Hows that? I'm sure he had that hat for more than just the night the girl died, both before and after, and she was just shooting for Nathan memories. Since the Haitian erased his memories and she, as far as I can recall didn't know Sylar had the memory trick (or that Nathan was accessing Sylars powers at all) she had no reason to think he'd remember that piece of Nathans life. She was just hoping to strenghten his Nathans memories by giving him his shit, like when you come across something from when you were a kid and go "Oh, wow, that was so cool".

Sylar's body is exactly how it was before he was shot, just that the shapeshifting effect wore off so he thinks he's still Nathan.

Police pick up someone who looks like Sylar (And to them is Sylar) who is wanted for the murder of his mother. They take him in and question him about the murder, and he thinks they are talking about Angela as he still thinks he is Nathan. He probably will not see himself in a reflection until later in the episode and he'll probably freak out wondering why he looks like Sylar.

He is in an interrogation room with a huge ass mirror in it.

I'm pretty sure Angela knew Sylar had the ability to see the past of an object since she was the one who "fed" Sylar the chick when they were all mommy/son and all. (or I think anywho.. if memory serves correctly)

Also, now it makes sense to me.. thanks for clearing that up about Sylar not knowing who he was. Will be interesting..

And he did get stabbed in the back of the neck, that's how he got taken down. Of course I thought Sylar "moved" that little weakness last year... Didn't Denko (sp?) or HRG try taking him down last year or something? The whole dumping, shooting, burying him might have dislodged it enough for him to recover though.

Stabbed in the back of the neck.. last night? I think it was an injection via a syringe(sp?) last night .. but I'm at work or I'd look it up (can't play videos at work) to make sure.

But if it were in fact a syringe.. maybe it was just enough to knock him out until he got to the hole and then boomheadshotintheback?

It's also possible that his powers are only working to the convenience of the writers and thus is only working within the bounds they need to move the show along. You should've seen this with the history of the items, he's touching statues and benches of some rich womans house and he's only seeing stuff from his past with it? That's not how the power works. Granted they didn't say he only saw that, but whatever.

And Nathan is a fucking retard "Yeah this girl fell and hit her head and died and it was a complete fucking accident but I'm going to call the police and turn myself in as murdering her even though I've recently seen the entire event unfold and I did nothing malicious nor attempt to kill her." I mean I can believe there are people with such shitty logic, but it's really lame having to see it.

I'm probably mistaken but was Sylar never drugged or anything by the new company from last season? You know.. where they took them to the labs and all. (I don't remember him being drugged.. just checking though..)

Not to mention Arthur, Niki/Jessica and Charlie, but those three may still be back.


As for the neck thing with Sythan, it was a syringe to knock him out. While I can see the logic in the alcohol comparison with Claire, I don't know if it applies. They actively suppressed all of Sylar's abilities so its possible the healing just didn't kick in until sufficient trauma jump started it so to speak. The problem though, is the same thing with Peter's ability or the issue with Claire's blood. They leave a lot unexplained or in the dark. It's possible to jump to a number of conclusions as to what the intent was.


Overall, I actually liked last night's episode. I agree the Claire/Noah scene was a bit played out but I like the fact they seem to be slowly moving him back into season one form. I wouldn't be surprised if he and Tracey team up.

Also for the first time in a while, I found myself actually caring about Hiro's storyline.

They also neglected Claire, Parkman and Peter for the most part which is nice. I like the show better when it doesn't try to advance 8 story arcs in an episode.

everyone forgets the real sylar was injected by peter at the end of season 3 and it worked? so unbeliable it can happen twice? hardly a loophole, episode was lame mostly too claire/HRG being used to make up the 40 minutes made me wanna hurt someone.

only thing i liked about that 20 minutes was "if i cant sell it to you ill just shot you" LOL

i wanna see HRG and tracy get it on, anyone else? =D id love to see him explain that one to claire

Catching up the last two episodes:

Speaking of Tracy, I have been hoping that the whole Rebel arc would continue. At least, I didn't get the sense of closure that I thought would happen. Maybe I am just missing something and need to go back and watch a few episodes, but I would think that Micah is still out there and this whole Rebel thing hasn't just died out yet.

My whole view of the show is that they seem to be pacing themselves incredibly slow. Most of the episodes so far just feel like filler material. As usual, we'll just have to wait and see. The whole Parkman/Sylar arc is really lame if you ask me. Parkman should have the ability to control what's in his own mind given he can do that to others. This was exemplified seasons back when Parkman was able to block his father from controlling his mind and saving Molly. Hell, wasn't he even able to lock his father in his own mind? Granted a season later on, we see Parkman's dad all nice and well working for Arthur. At the very least, he can block off Sylar's manipulations. The outbursts of Parkman talking to himself when he clearly knows that Sylar is in his mind are just dumb.

I am also unclear as to how Sylar is able to get into Parkman's mind. My understanding is that Sylar's conscious is somewhat blocked from his body. Yet, Sylar, is able to consciously enter Parkman's mind. The specifics of what Parkman actually did to Sylar to make him think he is Nathan aren't explained, but it seems silly that a supposedly unconscious and dormant psyche of Sylar in Sylar's own body is simultaneously able to operate in Sylar's body as well as Parkman's mind. The mechanics of such a system is intriguing... If Sylar is able to subconsciously manipulate another person's psyche, it would follow that it should be child's play to alter his own psyche which should offer no resistance like Parkman. Thinking about this has been driving me nuts honestly, and I get into circular thinking and it's back to chicken versus egg. I should just stop thinking about it and accept that logic isn't really applied here.

Edit2: Finished watching S4E3 - What happens to the Parkman/Sylar dependence? We go all through that arc just so for it to have no real gravity on Sylar's progression?

The way i was thinking about the whole Sylar/Parkman thing is that it may not actualy 'be' Sylar in Matts head, but rather his own Id brought forth by his guilt just taking the appearance of Sylar. So in effect be Matts own subconcious manipulating himself.
Quite probable they want to turn Matt into a bad guy and are trying (poorly) to show his mental deterioration.

Outside of the fact that I don't even recognize half of those names, the number of times a main character has been "killed" and brought back is unbelievable.

How do you not recognize all those big characters? Sure it doesn't kill people off for good like Lost (so far) but many seem to overlook how many do get killed off.
