As for my own input on the show: If Sylar gets back his urges and finds the old dying Time Traveler guy, then /show, cause Sylar with Time/space control is unstoppable. Of course... I said the same thing about Arthur Petrelli... I suppose it all comes down to how much the writers suck this year.

Yea, this to me seemed like it would change things a great deal. But in the writing only one thing had changed... (so far anyways)

Guess I was way wrong about Noah and Parkman (thankfully), but what the fuck. I guess the media had to make a big deal about the firing and killing off a character despite not knowing who it was, but fuck, just the cop guy?


Anyway, the whole premise of the time traveling in this series is flawed anyway I think. The writers are picking and choosing what Hiro is capable of fixing without really explaining any consequences. They touched on the butterfly effect in season 3, but that's the last it's been mentioned. I guess maybe if Hiro could go back and save Charlie from dying to Sylar, it would set off things that we might not even be aware it's causing, but without having already seen what's ahead for him, we'll never know. And I just confused myself.


Anyway, saving/bringing Charlie to the present would change what? Sylar wouldn't have her ability, and it would mean that Hiro never showed up in Odessa in the first season? Or he still went there but never met her, and presumably helped Peter against Sylar? Oh shit, what if he sends past-Sylar back to the prehistoric time? OH SHIT, SYLAR IS GONNA NEVER BE BORN DIE TO A RAPTOR!


Writers better tread carefully, because I doubt anything Hiro attempts to pull off will make sense at all if he's successful with Charlie. But damn if she ain't cute. She's the only reason Paul Blart: Mall Cop was watchable...

The death rumors had nothing to do with this week's episode. Most likely it's coming in November or December. The articles linked specifically mentioned a Season 1 character dying and leaving the show. At the time though, they had just shot the episode or were just about to, so it still won't air for a few weeks at least.

Wouldnt Sylar become mega nerfed if he didnt have Charlies ability? Since his is learning how things work, and her power is enhanced memory.. wouldnt he not like.. forget how to use his lesser used abilities/ones that he isnt like "PEW ELECTRIC"?

Not like it matters, he only uses 2-3 of his powers anyways. The majority of them he takes, screws around with it once and then you never see it again: Melting, mind bullets, alchemy... He didn't even try that snapping power he took at the end of fugitives. He could have been god damn Roy Mustang with a unibrow, but he just uses TK like its going out of style.

Well, he lost his powers from season 1, so Charlie's power wouldn't matter. Same with the melting ones and so on.

Honestly, the only thing the writers have at their disposal is time travel and im kind of being annoyed by it, they should just get rid of hiro and be done with it.

Sylar lost all of the abilities at the begining of S2, except for telekinesis, Charlies ability was more referred to as enhanced memory, IE she worked like PC with a HDD, she would unintentionally store something, and unconciously be able to refer to that item later. Sylar did nothing with this ability.

Sylar taking Charlies ability was only to stop Hiro encountering Sylar at Homecoming, because its very likely if Sylar found out at that point Hiro could time travel he could kill Hiro & easily travel back & forth through time, taking abilities as he saw fit.

I saw this episode as a mere tool to get Peter on a new ability, i don't think that he will get to use the ability on Hiro or that he may possibly use the ability to restore Emma's hearing.

Currently the Nerfed Sylar story could be interesting, He's remembering himself as Nathan, but he's also being presented with his own memories, this just might send him bat shit crazy enough to accidentally kill one of the Carnies.

That will probably happen more towards the end of the show. Unless the Carnies get to Matt first and kill him off, if they ever find out what happened to Sylar. So they can have their own Sylar.

From what I am hearing, it will happen on episode 11 titled "The Fifth Stage". It will air the last week of November and then the show goes on break until Jan 2010.

Were the events that led up to that future already prevented? At the time, I thought perhaps it had something to do with whether he killed Elle or not, but that doesn't really make sense, as nobody who knew about Future Sylar had influenced him at that point (iirc), and so it shouldn't have changed. This leads me to believe that either a) That future can still happen, or b) The writers dropped and forgot about that whole thing like they did with Irish chick.

Question, i might have missed this but what happend to the little girl parkman saved/took care of that could point out where people are? she just dissapeared or i just missed something?

Haha, I was talking to one of my clients the other day. Their daughter is best friends with this girl. If I see her over at her house next time I will ask her and see why she isn't on there anymore. I would assume that she got offered more money being on a Fox show. Also, her parents wanted her to come home more, she lives in Nashville.

Wow, I am very please with tonight's episode! I thought it for the most part was going to be a shit Claire episode, but it turned out to be quite okay. The stuff with Jeremy was pretty sad though.
