really good epi and preview for next looks good just sort of surprised tho shouldnt he have just turned back to himself as soon as contact was made.... -.- i wanted to see tons of death... also Sylar/SamuelT1000/Peter triple threat final?![]()
Didn't the real Nathans body get burned at the end of the last season? If not(well obviously not but from what I remember it was Nathan), what am I thinking of?
Well they wanted people to believe it was Sylar's body burning because...well they wanted people to believe Nathan was still alive. So I doubt they'd burn his body and then turn around and claim him to be alive.
I think Sylar got super speed from somewhere. If I remember correctly, it was while he was Mutant-Hunting with the special agent guy (who's name escapes me). Also, are you sure he got shape-shifting through empathy? I suppose he would have had to if they turned around and used that body as a fake dead Sylar... (wouldn't have worked without the top part of his skull). It's so damn hard to remember what powers Sylar has anymore... especially since he doesn't even fucking USE most of them (I suppose one could make the joke that even HE doesn't know what fucking powers he has anymore).
About Peter touching Sylar, maybe he DID get Sylar's power but doesn't know it. Since Sylar would have to genetically alter himself to integrate the powers he's "learned", then I suppose Peter would get ALL of the powers that Sylar has acquired. Unless, of course, Peter can only maintain one power period rather than one PERSON'S power.
I'm pretty sure it's been shown that Peter can have a power and not even know about it (his first half dozen or so in season 1), so when he touched Sylar to get flying, that's the only one he knew to use. They can't even claim that his power-grabbing has to be conscious either, cause he got Emma's (deaf chick) completely by accident. Hopefully he'll have an epiphany sometime next episode and discover that he has everything Sylar had (or maybe everything HE'S ever had). I suppose if Peter was super-charged by Ando, then he could probably mass-absorb again.
Speaking of Ando... if HE met with Samuel, it would sure save a lot of time. I think the potential he has in combination with almost anyone is drastically underestimated. Better yet, if Samuel were amplified by Mass-Mutant-proximity AND Ando... Wait a minute... Wasn't the doomsday pre-cog picture last season of the Earth splitting in 2? They never went into detail about WHY it would split did they? In retrospect, imagine Samuel in a world where a significant portion of the population had access to powers ala Arthur's Goal. Seems like a very good tie-in to last season's plot (Holy shit, the Writers did something clever! Unless I'm giving them too much credit).
Only issue there, is the scene I speak of was soon after they met and before they worked together. So his ability to move out of a car without being heard, going down a street and scaling a building before the guy could turn his head seemed like a power that should've been explained since it would really be one of his best.
As for shape shifting, yeah he got it from empathy, the hunter asked him to. His empathy always seemed to take a bit and some concentration though. And his moment with Nathan was all fighting and he didn't go out the window alone, Peter was there as well so I can't see how he concentrated.
Small things that doesn't take away from the show but like somebody said before it gets annoying when they beat things in your head that seem clear but decide to ignore things such as these.
I think that's it. It was the Shapeshifter Sylar they burned. Sylar took his power but without cutting his head off, not through empathy. Whatever the bald guys name was asked him to do it without cutting the shapeshifter open.
I could be wrong though, who knows.
So did anyone else want Hayden to hop into the tub with Ali? I sure did! It was a pretty good episode. I was really hoping that there would be some sort of battle/struggle between Sylar and Peter because the hospital scene looked as if it was leading up to that but oh well. I really thought Sylar would be instantly back.
I believe Shape Shifter Sylar was burned long before then. I remember the Hunter sending him to be burned and the suspense of Noah trying to figure out if it was really Sylar or not.
As for Sylar Nathan thing. Surely they want to drag it out a bit and try to tug at fans hearts about finally losing our beloved Nathan. Hopefully that shit doesn't happen as another season finale. I'm tired of seeing this guy die.
Well, Sylar's flight could be an extension of his telekinesis.
I kind of want Sylar to go back to the way he was early in the first season. He was actually a frightening antagonist back then, and whenever he showed up in the series I would go "oh shit" in my head. Now I don't even know what he is anymore.
To clear up the "whose body did they burn thing," there was the episode where Danko and Sylar were hunting the shape shifter. They went into a club, and they saw him disguised as Danko. He ran away, disguised to look like Sylar, went to Danko and said "I guess he's gone!" but Danko realized he was the shape shifter and shot and killed him. So he died while disguised as Sylar.
Sylar said he could still acquire his ability, and Danko asked him to do it "without leaving any marks" which he had recently learned to do with Elle's electricity. After he's done, they shove a knife into the back of "Sylar's" head to make it look like he had been stopped by his weak spot.
The body they burned was "Sylar," the shape shifter who died while disguised as Sylar.
Fate in this show has always been about not changing what's already happened. They've shown three different future timelines so far and all indications have shown that each was avoided by the actions throughout the particular volume they were shown in.
I think ppl are trying to connect all the dot's in order to predict what may come about, but we all know that isn't the case about Heroes... tsk tsk
