Best episode of the season so far. Actually tied up some strings, like why Samuel is gathering Heroes. Now that Sylar is in Nathan, he will probably just bide his time before taking over.
I'm glad the show has been great this season and I find it really strange that it seems whenever they push forward with the story that it seems to continue to point towards the future from S1(minus the bomb).
Good episode.
Also, the paintings of the world splitting in half from last season are starting to make sense. Was wondering if we'd ever figure out what causes that aside from giving everyone power juice.
Could have been a subtle hint to what this season would be facing, too. Samuel seems like he has the potential to go god-mode with enough people surrounding him, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if someone with a precog ability sees the future and sees that Samuel caused the Earth to split in two.
Also, maybe something not as severe as that, but if Samuel was to be seen as a public threat by the world, I could see the future from the first season showing up as well. They were simply seen as terrorists, similar to what happened in season three.
If it actually is the Writers' intention to tie these plots together, then I will have a new respect for them- or I should say, greater than the 0 respect they have now (Tim Kring gets the credit for me still watching, as he created something that was interesting even with shitty writers behind it). That is, if they pull it off.
That's how I would do it anyway, but that's because I've always thought that the show would have been awesome if the future from season 1 had came true and they were dealing with more of a gritty storyline other than "save this person, kill that one" kind of thing.
Finally caught up on Heroes after seeing the previews for tomorrow's episode during the SNF game.
It is pretty simple on how to stop Samuel, the Haitian but that is too simple
But seeing how the previews also suggest a mutiny going against Samuel maybe there will be two final showdowns.
Sylar/Peter, I know I know not going to happen but a man can dream.
Samuel/Family
Unless they bring Sylar and Peter, who hopefully gets his original powers back, into the picture with Samuel.
I think if the family knows, or finds out about the true extent of Samuel's power, they'd hopefully be smart enough to realize that bumrushing him would be the worst thing for them. What I'm wondering though, and maybe it was said already, but why exactly is Samuel going after specific people instead of just collecting as many as possible? For example, why Sylar? Does the amount of power or kind of power a person has play a part in how much strength Samuel gains from a single person? Have these things been said yet or no?
Sylar makes one hell of a bodyguard.
So simple, and yet it makes the most sense compared to the ideas I was coming up with. To be truthful though, I doubt that's the main reason. Sylar would make a pretty good goon and bodyguard, but Claire? Or maybe his reasoning for going after Claire was just so Becky could get revenge on Noah, and Claire would be a good concession prize. Tracy would be a good person to have on your side too once she gets her powers under control again. Maybe Tracy is going to freeze Earth and Samuel is going to split it in two!1111!!!1!1!1!!11!!1!
One word for this episode..
Amazing.
Seriously, did all of the best writers get together for the last few episodes and kicked all of the second-half-of-season-2-writers asses and told'm to fuck off? I don't know any better way to put it really.
I won't give any spoilers as people may still be watching (dunno how time zones work with Heroes) but I was laughing, I was gasping, and I was on the edge of mah seat! I haven't experienced the excitement of wanting next monday to be here since.. well.. season 1. Bravo Heroes! No longer do I want this to be the last season! (so long as they keep up the good writing)
endofheroesfanboyrant^-^
Damn, forgot to say something about it. (watched last nights Dexter after and forgot). This season has indeed been great. Those that vowed not to watch this season really do need to do themselves a favor and watch it. Has been great.
