How so? He could hold Arthur's powers at bay and he was much more powerful then Sylar. Had all of Peter's powers (Sylar had Lost all his powers from season 1 thus had less then Peter at the time) plus many more.

I just recall a confrontation between the two of them in Arthur's office during which the Hatian seemed distressed and I think he even told a third party in the room(I don't recall who, maybe HRG) that he was having trouble restraining Sylar. This stuck out in my mind because at the time it seemed to run completely counter to how the Hatian's ability worked(if you were in range, your powers were off and it didn't matter who you were). I want to say the confrontation ended with either Sylar actually breaking free of the Hatian or someone having to intervene to prevent that.
Obviously it's all very fuzzy since the whole section 5/pinehearst thing ended up, y'konw, not mattering at all. I'll see if I can wiki a summary of the episode or something.
It was Rene and Peter, they had gone into the room to confront Arthur and have Peter kill him while Rene held back his powers. While doing so he had to focus all his concentration on Arthur, but meanwhile Sylar walked in and eased Peter's burden by doing it himself. It wasn't necessarily that he couldn't hold back Sylar but that Arthur was far to powerful for him to be able to do both. Afterwards he chased after Sylar, presumably with confidence since Sylar was an easier target anyway.
I miss Pineheart/Section 5 or whatever times if only because it had Elle.Oh Elle..
posted this in Rex topic but bears mentioning here, form IGN
December 8, 2009 - We reported last week that Sendhil Ramamurthy, Heroes' Mohinder, had joined in David Tennant's (Doctor Who) NBC pilot, Rex Is Not Your Lawyer. And then we speculated a ton about whether or not this was a sign that, even though Ramamurthy was cast in second position to Heroes, that Heroes might not return for a 5th season.
Now comes word, thanks to Eonline.com's Kristin Dos Santos, that Ramamurthy has pulled out of the Rex pilot due to scheduling conflicts with Heroes. Jerry O'Connell (Stand By Me, Crossing Jordan) has now been cast in the role, as Rex's lawyer friend, instead. Could this spell hope for a Heroes' return next fall?
I don't know if "Hope" is what I have for a 5th season of Heroes... No more than you would "Hope" for a train wreck.
This isn't Fox we are talking about, so, I, for one, wouldn't be surprised if it gets another season. I just don't think it's specific to Heroes as average TV show viewership has dropped a lot across the board. A lot is due to DvR/TiVo/torrents/ect... in that why would you watch a show when it airs, when you can start watching it 15 minutes later and be able to fast forward through all the commercials. Analyst's say it has to do w/ how much a person "connect's" to a show, but give me a break... I may love a show and I still won't watch it when it airs.
If it does get a S5 I'd expect the extended cast to be much smaller.. Each season of the show increases it's season specific cast payroll by a pretty large amount, and S4 has seen the largest increase yet w/all the carnies... and their need to bring in old cast members for 5-10 minute appearances
Didn't realize how short this season is gonna be since they plan to finish up the season by the Winter Olympics and replace it w/ Parenthood.
There's supposed to be 19 episodes, so just 8 episodes left. That's weird though. If they wait til the first week of January there's only 6 possible airings before the Olympics start.
I wonder if they'll double it up for the last 2 weeks or what.
I'd laugh if they show 6 eps now and then come back four months later for a 2 ep finale in May out of nowhere.
Looking at the wiki list again. They list the premiere as one episode despite NBC listing them separately. The 1/4/10 episode is a two hour one as well. That makes up the two missing episodes for a February 7th finale.
they rly trying to get heroes out of the way this season
The show is back on tonight with back to back episodes. Seems that this season will wrap up early (first or second week of Feb) due to the Winter Olympics![]()
Yeah, the last Monday before the Olympics.
No ones commented yet but yah.. meh.
Not giving anything away but mediocre at best. Second episode tonight was a lot better than the first but I do have to say.. the previews for next week look promising..
Spoiler: show
Overall I hope this is the last season as much as I love the show. I just hope it goes out with a big fucking bang that makes it worthwhile when it does go out this season.
