It has been completely ruled out that Peter will not be back to his original power? I thought maybe Peter would get something from Sylar in the dream and be able to do multiple things and Peter ends up being Sylar at the end trying to save her. Seeing how Sylar isn't really hated in the Carnival community and has a way in.

It depends. Figure/speed skating is a huge pull and snowboarding drew a lot of attention last year.

It would be fine if they had never used the blood in the first place. They set their own precedent on that one. Besides, if you remember, that actually addressed the blood issue in regards to Hiro.

The problem with the show is that they adjust the powers to fit the story instead of adjusting the story to fit the powers.

The timeslot after the Olympics is going to the new Parenthood show. Who knows what will happen now that the ten o'clock hour is back.



I agree with the general consensus that there seems to be a lot of shit to wrap up in 2 hours. I can't see how they solve the Samuel issue and manage to persuade all the remaining carnies he's evil in just 2 episodes. Then again, if Claire and Noah had just walked away what would have happened? They never showed a big evil plan, just the fact he could do some major shit if he wanted.


It seems pretty clear from the previews what the big season ending sequence will be.

I like how you assume the writers actually remember Claire hunting down specials, the Earth splitting, and Sylar being nice. Hell, by that logic we could even assume that Peter is going to get scarred soon, and Hiro's going to become a badass (were closing in on Five Years Gone rather quickly at this point).

I want to love this show. I try so so so hard. But it has absolutely no direction or focus. Season 2 was sloppy, and it was understandable. You lost your writers and had to deal. Seasons 3 and 4 both had so so so much potential that has just been wasted. Villains, Fugitives, and Redemption all have the foundation for amazing storytelling, and every season they just throw it away. I'd say I'm done with this show after these next couple episodes, but I'll be back next season (if they somehow manage to get one) to watch them fuck it all up again.

There's been interviews etc that indicate none of the 'future' scenarios become viable once the crisis involved is resolved so I doubt any of it will come up as envisioned.

On another note, I can't be the only one that saw Peter walking around an empty city in the previews and joked 'oh hey, I wonder if that's where they left Caitlin'.

I brought up Doyle though because in Peter's dream they showed him off to the side making Emma play the cello. I think Tracey will have more to do with stopping Samuel.

Unlike everyone else, at least until recently, I still liked the direction of the show. After watching this week's episode though I'm starting to really get the feeling that I'd be more than okay if this was the last season, even if it ends abruptly and full of cliffhangers never to be answered. They need to decide whether Sylar is good or bad and not do this whole "I still think I'm bad but I wanna be good but I'll still be bad doing good things, no wait I definitely wanna be bad but maybe just a little good" bullshit. At least for me and I'm sure many, many others, Sylar made season one because of who his character was (thus the reason he became a regular, right?). Now they're trying to turn him into this conflicted character that honestly is just frustrating. As much as I like(d) Sylar, either turn him back to the old Sylar or get someone to kill him off for good.
