Sylar doesn't belong in the show anymore.
He's a third party, and they're struggling to make it work.
Season 2 the bad guys were the company/Adamn.
Season 3 the bad guys were the Villains/Arthur/Danko.
Season 4 the bad guys are the Carnival/Samuel.
He's fairly boring as a character now, and they treat him like they did Peter. They simply go out of their way to disable him so he doesn't slaughter the rest of the cast. I have no problem keeping him around but they did so in a way that was completely non-constructive. I think he's an awesome character, but he doesn't fit anymore.
Yeah, I agree completely, especially comparing him to Peter and how he's being treated as a character. I had high hopes when Samuel was trying to recruit him, because I still have high hopes for Samuel himself -- he's the right kind of villain in my opinion, especially considering what he pulled off in this week's episode.
Question/speculation, though. If Peter touches Sylar and takes his abilities, does he take Sylar's "natural" ability, or all the ones he's taken, or both? Did the previews of next week hint to anything? Since I watch the episodes on Netflix, I don't get to see the previews of next week ever, so I dunno.
Peter has touched Sylar a few times. ( not in that way.) He only gets one power, and its random, depending on what one the writers need him to have. Look at last seasons finale when he took his shape shifting. Or earlier in this season when he took his flying ability that he shouldn't have.
Wonder how / if they will tie together the Hiro, Sayid, Ando plot with the finale. SSWMTJ.
Are you fucking kidding me?
I'm a hero..
I thought the whole Sylar thing was a bit rushed.. and I guess I can spoiler this..

Aside from that I thought it was a good episode. It was even better because Hiro/Ando/Mohinder were not in it, thank God.
eh I thought it was a given they're trying to make Sylar a Face. They can only go so long having him be a heel.
I thought HGR's backstory was great. Funny how that blackdude managed to get more out of HGR then Parkman back in Season 3.
I think the Sylar thing is pretty stupid. If he's actually good, then he simply takes the place of Peter as being the overpowered hero they keep away from the action till the finale. He's gonna show up and stop all the bad dudes (luckily next week is the finale amirite?!)
What is the guy who makes copies of himself going to do against either of them, let alone both? And how is Samuel getting his info?
I really don't know what they can do with Sylar at this point to make him a non-retarded character. Possibly nothing? And I don't remember really, but Parkman wasn't really looking for that stuff was he? Samuel's buddy got what he needed to try to distance Claire from HRG (which serves what purpose, exactly?), Parkman was just looking for info on the government project iirc.
Didn't I see the HRG flashback story already in Star Trek 3?
It's going to be an interesting finale for sure

Prolly had to get some sleep. Must've been tiring for him to find all those bricks and equipment in the middle of the night, in such short notice.
If you're going to name an episode of your show "The Wall" you owe it to yourself to play some pink floyd.
Was very happy with the ep. Very interested to see how they close this up.
I'm really not sure why I keep coming back to watch this show. I know I'm going to hate the next episode, and then I do. But then I go and watch the next episode.
