I'm sure in that situation, he'll just let her go. If she lived a full and happy life then I can't see him wanting to take to that away from her, especially after the trial. It actually seems like a smart way to end the Charlie storylines.

Why are we spoilering speculation? That's not how it works on a dedicated thread (going by past experiences, in this very thread even) I don't think. Hell, I wouldn't even spoiler new episode info unless it was a leaked episode, as everyone should know by now not to fucking check the thread if you haven't seen up to and including the latest episode.

That being said, I doubt Charlie would even agree to tell Hiro where she had been, and I doubt it would occur to Hiro (immediately, at least) to just check her age on the hospital chart and do some math. I suppose that Hiro not asking is just as likely though, but I like putting out other possibilities just in case.

I laughed about how sloppy and thrown together the Sylar reform thing was. I get the feeling that it was supposed to be a lot longer and in-depth, but got cut to pieces to fit in Noah's back story (which was pretty awesome, if cliche), or possibly to fit in more of Samual's Diarrhea of the Mouth.

What really pisses me off is what a judgmental bitch Claire is, and how Noah gets all defensive to her. The way I see it, a vast majority of Noah's actions were totally justifiable. All he should have to say to Claire is: "Fine then, what would YOU have done in that situation?"

I was spoilering my post because it tied in directly with a spoiler that someone mentioned above.

It may be a bit extraneous but I figure better safe than sorry.

I had someone bitching at me somewhere else because I mentioned the fact they showed next week's promo before the current episode and spoiled any suspense by showing them all standing around next week.

The preview I can ALMOST understand, as not everyone watches them (some can't. Some don't want to), but even then, the network intended for those scenes to be shown before the next episode was aired. The point of the previews is to direct the speculation a bit (or sometimes throw it off if they're playing dirty with the editing). Personally, I don't watch the previews because I welcome the challenge of a broader range of possibilities. I like to see how much I can get right, or sometimes, how much I can come up with that would have been BETTER than what the writers ended up doing (that last part isn't too difficult with this particular show...).

So while the preview material MIGHT be a gray area (I don't think it is), anything else is open game in a discussion thread that was made specifically for that show. There will always some moron that comes in here before they watch the episode and get spoiled and bitch about tags, but it's their own goddamn fault and they deserve to have the shit spoiled.

Edit: I get what you're saying now about the preview- that it aired before the episode it was supposed to come after and so actually spoiled stuff. That's an example of a pre-air, and I agree that those SHOULD be spoiler'd even if it was a mistake on the network's end. That being said though, that hasn't applied to this show thus far that I'm aware of.

Even though I'm slowly coming around to the crowd of people who think this show's writing is terribad, I hope for at least one more season. Whatever happens next week better not be the last I see of Heroes, because regardless of what it is I'm going to feel incredibly fucking cheated. And none of that spin off bullshit that I could see happening, either.

The show is already picked up again. Although its going down hill I doubt they will leave it without telling them ahead of time. Since Kring is very good friends with the heads I know they will at least give him the respect of warning him so he can make a real series finale.

As far as speculation goes, the only thing that makes any sense is for Tracey to show up and somehow save Claire and Noah. Sylar could probably do it if he had any idea where they were.

I'll laugh if they show anyone use the compass to find them though since it shouldn't work for that location now.

what happened to them doing shorter arc's ? I thought that worked well since it allowed them to build up to stuff faster, instead of having Samuel talk for 1/4th a season about how he wants to create a new place to call home

They're having the same problem with this longer arc that they've had with their past 3 short arcs.

The length of the volume isn't the issue, its the lack of any talent or common sense on the show's staff.

The last few seasons have really suffered with pacing issues. The story for this volume probably could have been condensed. On the other side of the spectrum, Volume 3 (Villians) could have been alot better if they didnt try to cram so much so fast.

I dont see the show getting the boot this year cause of all the time they gotta fill with the acceptance that Jay Leno doesnt work in primetime. But next year could be the last if they dont get their shit together.

Villains and Fugitives both had a ton of crap jammed in them as quickly as possible, and I agree this could have actually worked with a shorter arc as well. Then we (might) not have to deal with completely stupid shit.

S1, and even a majority of S2, had very tense episodes that ended on a cliffhanger. I remember catching up on S1 and S2 before S3 started, and I couldn't stop watching them. But it seems like they lost that luster since S3 and that's the biggest issue.

S5 should be a heroes reboot lol

After last night I promised myself never to drink again. Had I not done that, I would've definitely given this a shot, no pun intended.

I'm sure someone mentioned this, but I'll say it anyway. This whole story arc reminds me of Magneto and Acolytes building sanctuary for mutants on Asteroid M and eventually turning on humans.

Eric Lehncherr aka Master of Magnetism

    vs

Samuel Sullivan aka Master of Dirt

Hell, Samuel is more of a copy of Magneto even before Acolytes. Brotherhood of Mutants.

I assumed that's where they were going with this arc from the beginning (at least originally). It would have tied in with Fugitives quite well if the government had attacked and a war had broken out.

Too bad instead, this season blows.
