On topic, I tried to watch this and it wasn't really looking much better than last season. Didn't feel like wasting my whole night on it when I had Hell's Kitchen available, so passed. Still not convinced the story is worth shit from the comments, and my eyes rolled so hard at that quote about the "terrakinesis" guy that I went into momentary vertigo.

Actually, no. I said I come to this thread to read the results. I planned on leaving it after I heard how terribad the first episode was. Now that I know, I have no reason to return to this thread.

I didn't think the premiere was bad. The Hiro/Ando storyline(s) are still irritating, and the Claire story is meh, but not as annoying as some of the storylines in the show. The carnies were promising, although I thought the final tatoo image showed

So just watched the premiere, thoughts:

Claire - Honestly not as bad as I expected. Still need to shorten up her scenes and maybe give her some backbone (looks like they almost started to) during stuff happening as opposed to just wanting to do stuff before/after.

Peter - Thank you writers. He finally makes some fucking sense. He can be smart and all powerful but doesn't want to do shit because bad always comes from it. That works. Keep him like this. Bring him in for some little things and maybe to save the big finale and that's it.

HRG - Fairly standard for him, loved seeing to Haitian return, not sure why HRG is all "I'm so alone" but can also call in the Haitian to do a little deed for him. Shouldn't those two still be friends of sorts?

Parkman - Meh. /sigh, something along those lines.

Sylar - Honestly not too unhappy to see him still around. He's always been the big villain and while the predicament doesn't necessarily make sense, it sorta does bring him back to the season 1 likeness of a cockroach, you just can't kill the fucker.

Nathan/Angela - Can we just kill these guys already?

Carnies - I'm interested in seeing more, that's for sure.

I watched this last night, and I thought it was a pretty good episode. The acting was also good. Anyone think Claire's roommate has a power? Maybe like the Puppetmaster? That would explain why that annoying roommate killed herself.

Kinda annoying to hear people shit talk an episode they didnt even watch.

I watched 15 minutes of it and was unimpressed, the style looked to be continuing directly in the order of the end of last season. I know it's the first episode and all but I had already made up my mind that they really needed a drastic paradigm shift if I was going to watch it again, and the 15 minutes didn't deliver, so I decided to err on the side of watching something I knew I would enjoy.

I'm not shit talking it, I'm saying I observed no notable improvements over last season and would rather watch something else. If the rest of you are ok with it, well that's fine. Maybe it'll get better during the season and I can rewatch it later in bulk quantity in order to gloss over the (perceived) annoying parts in the start. Point is I was simply offering my opinion saying "Yeah, I was going to watch it because I used to be a fan, but didn't see anything worth watching in the short time I was on it, disappointing eh."

At first when they were playing guitar hero 3 (lawler), she says something along the lines of "I must be getting better every second," though they never really show how well either of them are doing (they stop with notes still flying but the song is over). That kind of hints at her being adaptive or a quick learner, or something. Also, when the roomie shows up with the books and already knows a bunch of the information, it seemed to further support my original hinting. I'm thinking some kind of mental power.

Nathan: My guess is that they will draw out the Sylar being Nathan mind conflict until they carnies gather the three faces. After gathering all three, they will do SOMETHING with them, and somehow it'll be apparent to them that they needed the REAL Nathan. Then Sylar will be all WTF .
