i laughed a bit when they called Brian Austin Green a real life terminator. Then I was sad.

I still don't really get how Brian Austin Green lived after they replaced his heart with the kryptonite. I mean last time I checked, a rock wasn't very good for an alternate source of a heart... I know this is tv and all but really? A kryptonite heart?
Sad that the fight was so short like they usually are (Doomsday). I was thinking that Clark would use his laser eyes to cut the pipes or shoot out the rock, or at least give him a beatdown when it was covered up, but meh.
The Smallville Metallo isn't as visually cyborg as the comics and cartoons depicted, would be too costly and probably wouldn't fit in with this version of the story. They coped out at the end in saying he's more cyborg than human and is just powered down.
I do not know why I put myself through this mess, yet I watch each week anyway![]()
I stopped watching after the first episode this season, let me know if it gets better (kind of doubt it will).
I'm not going to go on a major rant but the problems I have with the show:
1) Too much mopey Clark. If he had a nickel for every time he supermoped, or superwhined, he could have bought a time share for a Gulf Stream G-V, since he can't fly yet.
2) Inconsistency/no continuity. It's like the writers from one week to the next don't even read the previous scripts to see what is going on. Watching one episode to the next, you sometimes wonder, "Whatever happened to..."
3) Jamming Clark-Lois down our throats. We know Clark Kent ends up with Lois Lane, but we haven't yet seen WHY he would. It's like they just flipped lightswitches instead of developing her character. First she is just the general's feisty daughter who knows some karate and didn't even graduate high school, then working at the Inquisitor on Wall-of-Weird type shit, then suddenly she's a star reporter at the DP because she slept with Lex's cloned dead brother. It seems like she has backed into everything and hasn't earned it, look she is hanging out with the Dalai Lama, etc. Lightswitch, lightswitch...
4) This isn't Smallville anymore. Go back and watch the season 1, 2, or 3 DVDs. That was the show I loved. It had heart, more consistency and more continuity. I think things really went downhill as more cast members left - John Schneider, Annette O'Toole for starters, and definitely when Michael Rosenbaum left and there was no more Lex.
Well I am not saying Smallville is perfect, there have been a lot of things I have had issues with but I still am a fan of the show.
The first few seasons, it was a different format. It was about Clark dealing with his powers and hiding them all the while going thru high school, having to deal with the social aspects of teen life and emotions, and saving friends from the occasional meteor freaks. At the start, Clark had very few abilities...Super speed, strength, and able to withstand bullets. Over the course of the seasons, he ended up awakening/learning new abilities like X-Ray vision, super hearing, super breath, etc. He has still yet to fly because the creators from the very beginning had a rule that stated "No Tights, No Flights", meaning that we would never see Clark in a superman costume and he wouldn't fly (He flew as Kal-El in that one season when he ripped the door off of Lex's plane in flight)
After Clark graduated, the show shifted away from it's roots and Metropolis started showing up more and more, and dealt with more serious issues as more Villains showed up (James Masters I think made an awesome Braniac), as well as the very important episode that dealt with Clark changing events in his life to his emotional advantage and the consequences of his actions.
We've seen a very large progression since Season One, and this Season seems to be about Clark finally embracing his destiny instead of avoiding it like he had been in previous seasons, and we got to see exactly what it is that caused him to make the change. I really hope this season is the last and that they go out with a bang. Either that or rename the show "Metropolis" as it is no longer about Clark in Smallville like it was in seasons past.
I think he meant it's impossible to have 20 eps of emoclark since lana isn't there.
Also yea, I haven't read a single Superman comic >.> but I have watched practically every animated series episode and Lois and Clark: the new adventures of Superman. In the cartoon, he's fully a robot under the skin, but in the tv show, I can't remember how robotic he was. I think he just had a metal box in his chest with a kryptonite rock attached to wires. It's kinda expensive to do more :3
oh ok, damn internet ambiguousiticalnessity
Clark CLOSED THE BOOK ON LANA!! lol >.>
I really like the Dr. Hamilton char, hope he doesn't get corrupted or is already. I felt bad for the way Felix Gaeta ended up in the last season of BSG, the guy needs a break!
oh yeah, and lulz zombies.
Good episode but
