the progression towards remote wipes is scary :3

Same here, I loved the parallel and DeWitt's expression. Victor dancing was amazing, holy shit I haven't laughed that hard in ages. It seemed filler-ish, but the situation was set up to have Topher create the remote wipe, so they're leading into the future episode nice and slowly. I just wonder how it goes from wiping actives to cleanly/instantly wiping normal people.
A lot will probably happen, I wouldn't be surprised if the future episodes don't come properly until season 4-5 (if the show gets that far). I think it would be interesting to have each season finale (or secret season finale) be one more episode in the future some how leading to its conclusion, while the normal episodes lead up to the future.
Well, Whedon already said (I think, might be wrong) that he planned to show to be 5 years (or 5 seasons) going from Echo entering the Dollhouse to leaving it. I don't think we'll see Echo officially leave the Dollhouse like November did. In anycase, Echo's contract has just started, so she' got a long time left until she's free, while Sierra and Victor might not have as long.
I agree it would be annoying for it to stretch out that long, but this is FOX we're talking about.
We know that at some point, Victor is going to get possesed by the higher up. It's probably safe to assume he is going to be around for a while.
Kaylia meant Victor is going to be there in the dollhouse for a while, not talking about the duration the higher-up's possession will last.
Spoiler TV: Dollhouse safe for 13 episodes
"Dollhouse" fans breathe easier: Fox will air all 13 episodes.
On the heels of healthy DVR data for the "Dollhouse" premiere, network executives say they will run each produced hour of the show's current order despite the Friday drama's modest overall ratings.
"We're going to run all the episodes," said Fox scheduling chief Preston Beckman. "We're not saying we're happy with those numbers, or accept them, but we don't have to overreact. During [November] sweeps we might have to jack up the numbers a little [with other programming], but we plan on completing the order for this show."
As for ordering additional episodes, or a third season, Fox says they will make that decision after the current run.
The news represents a relief to "Dollhouse" fans that the current season won't be cut short, yet also suggests a full-season order is unlikely. Waiting until all 13 episodes have aired before making a decision generally means allowing production on the show to shut down for the season.
Reached by phone, Joss Whedon (who has a terrible-sounding cold -- feel better!) said he's writing the 13th hour to give fans a degree of closure.
"We'll definitely have closure, but will leave some doors open," said Whedon, who's currently shooting the eighth episode. "When we got our first numbers, which were bad, the first thing [Fox president of entertainment] Kevin Reilly said was, 'You'll have all 13,' which was great. They're not going to pull the rug out from under us."
Beckman said DVR results have played a role in the show's fate, though wasn't surprised by today's results.
"It's one of the reasons that we brought it back; we knew it was DVR friendly," Beckman said. "We expected to see this and hopefully we'll see [the overnight ratings] increase from week to week ... with some shows, you have to look at the bigger picture."
Beckman also humorously characterized deciding the show's fate as a bit of no-win situation when it comes to dealing with Whedon's passionate fans.
"If you cancel it, you're an asshole; if you renew it and then don't put it back on, you're an asshole," he said. "I'm still paying for 'Terminator.' 'Dollhouse' has a small rabid fan base that in the world of social media seems bigger than it is. We gave them another season knowing full well we were going to burn in hell if we pulled it."
I feel bad for Dollhouse, because based on its ratings it's pretty obvious the chances of a third season are slim to non-existant.
However, I sincerely think that if they gave Victor more screentime and more storylines, it would at least improve somewhat, and dear God - let this guy get work after Dollhouse comes to its inevitable end, because he is A M A Z I N G!!!

Whur's mah Summer Glau!
ep 5 I hear
So I just found out that the writers/creators of Reaper got hired on to be writers for season 2 of Dollhouse. This is probably the best news I have heard all day.
Best news I could hear is "Season 3 green-lit by FOX"
Never gonna happen.
Then bring back Terminator you dirty mother fucker!!"I'm still paying for 'Terminator.' 'Dollhouse' has a small rabid fan base that in the world of social media seems bigger than it is. We gave them another season knowing full well we were going to burn in hell if we pulled it."
=/
I'm not really surprised, just kind of sad to actually see that.
I havent watched any of S2 because I haven't had time, but been DvR'ing everything. Still sad news to hear, least Joss admitting to adding a good amount of closure to the series at the end of S2. Said there won't be full closure, but enough to please fans incase it doesn't get renewed
