Well first, we were talking about a movie that hadn't been publicly released yet. Then some people saw it and had mix reviews, then those who liked and hated it had a 4 page argument which resulted in a few posts that talked about sweet rides. Then we talked about alternate endings and recommendations that included bad slash films, syfy and shaun of the dead.

Well here's something else on the off-topic'ish stuff...

I thought Joy-ride was a good movie. Not sure if the movie was that great or not, but I really liked the special features on the DVD ;x Made the movie a lot more worthwhile for me for some reason. There was like a new 30 min sequence of a different ending and also three different endings of each char. being the "hero"

After a paranormal researcher tells the couple he can't help them, Micah decides to take control of the situation and sets up a battery of video cameras so that if a spirit manifests itself, he can capture its behavior on tape. Once the surveillance cameras are in place, Katie and Micah bring in a Ouija board in an effort to talk to the spirits, a move that deeply offends the ghosts. PARANORMAL ACTIVITY was the first feature film from writer-director Oren Peli.

the house is not haunted, Katie is. it has nothing to do with the house "not wanting" them to be around. there is no "battery of video cameras," unless I was sorely mistaken, it was just the one. maybe two, since she says at the beginning that he already owned one. Katie does not bring in the Ouija board with Micah, in fact, she's incredibly pissed off that he gets one.

Edit: Suspiria - The visuals and soundtrack are some of the best, and I'm not talking about cheap scares or special effects. Those elements are merged together so well that it draws you in. Here's a scene so you'll know what you're getting into (not typical Hollywood shit):

Shutter was pretty horrible.... Only one scene I liked, and not for scary reasons either.

I think Rec was pretty cool... Can't remember atm >.>a

I guess we have to depend on other countries now to make quality scary movies >.>a Probably because it's not just all out effects and blood and gore.

One of the best scenes I can remember is from Ring (JP version) when she was on the TV in the background. That scene was truly awesome and suspenseful.

Just came in here to say Suspiria is one of the best horror films out there, and you should see it if you haven't.

Watched it the other night, and the only part that was 'holy crap thats pretty freaky' was when she got dragged out from her bed. Rest of it was kind of slow, and made me horny trying to picture myself as the ghost, and fornicating with the hot gf.
