I'm looking for a MP3 player that also supports FLAC. It needs to have a relatively large storage space (30 gigs+) but preferably doesn't break my wallet. Form factor is also an issue it needs to be able to fit in my pocket nicely.
Budget: $250

I use ipodlinux on my 5th gen 80 gig to play flac and it works fine, should be at or below $250 now
New iPod Classic is $250 @ 160GB HDD space.
^Needs to play FLAC read the OP.
I recommend Cowon S9, it has OLED screen
COWON America
Any particular reason you're attached to FLAC? 320kb mp3/aac/etc. should be pretty much indistinguishable from the uncompressed/lossless formats, and much more widely supported.
The 160GB ipod would be a great deal for your budget, but I don't believe any of the major 3rd party firmwares are running on it currently, which would obviously limit your ability to enable FLAC playback.
6th gen is NOT supported on ipod linux. So back to the OP "Needs to play FLAC" good day.

Could look for one of these, 8 gigs of space, plays flac, movies, has a slot for extra memory.
Assuming you can find one, I'd really like to get one myself.Originally Posted by engaget
