i don't care if it is a rumor... if you are intentionally trying to HQ stuff get max DP. Maybe it was just luck but 7 HQ's (lv 33 gear - hard to HQ) out of 16 synths is just sick.

Ok so I had to dig this up. I know a lot of ffxiers are jaded from hearing crafting rumors, and rightfully so. However someone in my legion last night pointed out there's actual reason to think the DP while crafting thing is true. According to the official Aion website:

"The higher your DP, the better your chance of either critically healing or critically hitting your intended target. Divine Points can also help improve your chance of creating a "Noble" variant of an item while crafting. While there is always an element of chance in the creation of Noble items, think of your DP as helping you stack the deck subtly in your favor."

Maybe it only "works" like Treasure Hunter "works" in ffxi but hey there you have it.

I made 6 synths last night on older flux's I had accumulated, got 4k DP and HQ'd 2 lv 33 noble's.

Thanks buddy, but now I have more gear to replace. I need a polearm first, then temporary armor upgrades, then real upgrades. Been grinding cash without grinding too much exp.Taking me my time at level 30.

I always craft when im at full DP, i dont see there being much point otherwise. except for that one time where i was crafting with 0 DP and HQed anyway. i think that the DP stacking is far better than crafting directions from FFXI, much better and easier to implemented.
