A-Rank Dark Poeta officially on farm now for our group. We got SM body last night, but i couldn't get into the instance in time to loot it D:
Sent a GM ticket to see if it can be transferred from legionmate who it got sorted to, doubt anything will come of it but its worth a shot.
That sucks, but how do you send a GM ticket?
I don't think there's any GMs on Kahrun lol.
Attack from manastones arent affected by any of our attack increasing abilities. I lol @ any Ranger who uses Attack in any of his slots. Not to mention attack is linear increase in damage, and short of autoshot a measly 50 damage (assuming a max of 10 +5Attack stones) isnt worth losing 850 health or more crit. Stacking Crit till 600 (before the second softcap) or maxxing HP out is a much better use of all of our slots.

Then go to the "Ask a question" section, and you can use that for GM support, reporting players etc.
I find it hard to believe that Ranger is the only class that doesn't count manastones when using scaling attack abilities. Where are you getting 10 manastone sockets from btw? Most decent gear yields 24 total, and with miragent's you can get over crit softcap without a single crit stone; meaning you're getting 120 attack from stones alone.
whenever I've tried inviting people into an instance to roll on something that dropped, when it was looted they never got the window with the option to roll or pass.
so, probably working as intended.
I just got to level 19 Templar on Fregion.
Enjoying the game so far.
Any advice as I climb my up the levels?
PS: Why the fuck is everything so expensive!? 2-5k for pieces of Green equipment from level 10-18. But I'm looking at 70-100k a piece of equipment after that. D: Has it always been this expensive to get decent gear? I could understand rarer pieces like Blue or Gold being that expensive.
Aye. A PUG I was in got Kromede's Spear with no Glad in the party *roll eyes*. However, the Chanter's friend was a Glad looking for the spear. He offered every member 200k if we allowed him to join and take the spear. Unfortunately, he couldn't get it. We tried several different things (messing around with the distribution settings etc) and waited for around 15 minutes, but he still couldn't get it.
Exactly, 50 attack from stones will only ever be an additional 50 attack, regardless of buffs. Working as intended? I hope not, since crit technically scales with higher damage buffs, no reason attack shouldnt.
Oh and sorry if I dont base my manastone assumptions off the best gear in the game.(or close to it)
Granted, Miragent's might not be the best example; however its the only leather set i know offhand.
Even without Miragent's, its a safe assumption that by 50 your gearset will have 24 manastone sockets, and will have roughly 120 crit from weapon/accessories alone (50 from weapon, 11/13 from level 23/18 blue rings and earrings, 21 from blue neck or equivilent). At 36 for example, my glad has 308 crit, 324 attack unbuffed (448/432 buffed) with only one gold and mostly white manastones; not the best gear by any stretch.
That means you only have have 180 more crit to hit softcap (141/135 crit if you have Xeonphen/Heaven-shattering bow) with scroll and food, that can be accomplished with ~12 sockets. Even if attack doesn't scale with class specific buffs (in rangers case apparently, i know it scales with glad buffs for example) you'll still see a greater increase from the additional 60+ attack than you would from the 180 crit over softcap, due to how attack scales with skill tooltip damage; a linear increase is better than a dimished one.
I'd take 180 over cap (roughly 9% crit) over 60 attack any day of the week. 60 linear damage compared to almost a 10% chance to crit and double most of my attacks from 1k-1.5k to 2-3k?
Then when you throw HP into the equation, how much its needed endgame and how invaliable it is in PvP in most situations...I really cant see the argument for Attack manastones FOR A RANGER. Last three words being the key. I honestly just dont think its a stat for US.
accually: focused shots does not modify your attack stat at all: it's basically +30% damage to your skills, which means adding attack is worth stacking.
Bow of Blessing, strong shots and Speed of the Wind only raise attack for your base attack (the weapon and any +enchants), while BoB is pretty snazzy, strong shots is lack luster and eats up one of the 2 slots for ranger buffs which are better filled with Focus/Bestial. SotW is more for the movement not for the attack/crit so really that one isn't a huge deal.
Bestial Fury I can't speak for since I haven't used it first hand
but I think you're overlooking attack, think about it: I myself have 346 attack (267+79) BoB adds 54 attack for me. if I even socketed 10 slots for 50 attack, that's almost having a permanent bow of blessing on.
Top end rangers on Korean servers push upwards 500+ attack. Because of manastones, and the only rangers who go past 300 crit are the ones that are cheap and don't use food/scroll.
Sorry but have you never played FFXI? basic armor was cheap but stuff got expensive fast, For example the level 40 Monk/Sam/Nin armor (jujitsu gi iirc) was around 400k (before the game was dying) Now that isn't cheap, and kinah is alot easier to make than gil was, I really don't see what the problem is unless you where some gimp player in ffxi that used shit gear, if so you can do that in this game aswell.
the money you make from grinding alone can usually get you greens in all slots as well as decent weapon upgrades every 3-5 levels or so easy, unless you npc every bit of armor/weapons drop you get and have nothing to do with the broker and even then. granted you'll have to save up for the 30 wings if you don't have the CE or don't have the level 40 veteran reward wings waiting for you.
