This is my bow. There are many like it but this one is mine. My bow is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my bow is useless. Without my bow I am useless. I must fire my bow true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy, who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my bow and myself are defenders of my fortress, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.

that bow is so last week
That is like a Ranger's favorite loot pool from that boss right there.
I played FFXI for many years. I had some of the best gear around before most people started to heavily do end game stuff. Even then I still had awesome gear (Aside from Land Kings stuff). Full Askar, Full Homam, Haub+1, O-Kotes, Hagun, etc. I actually had Haub+1 and 2x Snipers back near the start of the game before most people did. lol The rings were 300k each and the haub was 1.2 million. I farmed the SHIT out of Tiger Fangs, and Tiger Leathers. Some people on Bahamut might still remember that one, I literally stayed in those caves for about two months grinding my way to 2 million gil. But I've also played Warhammer which is a lot more relaxed on gear prices because money doesn't really mean much. That kind of thing could have spoiled me. lol
It just seems kind of odd that level 20-ish armor and weapons cost near 100k when its not really that high level. I have about 400k on my templar, but only because I previously leveled a gladiator to 22, then scrapped him and sold the extra stuff that I had on him.
Just seems kind of disproportional to the kind of earning power a person of those levels has, does that make sense? I know you can make it, farming and craft grinding. It just seems steep for a level 20-ish person. I would compare level 20 in Aion to more 20-30 levels in FFXI. You've just barely gotten a taste of the game, not even made it to the opening of the larger aspect of it yet, which is at 25.
Regardless, I'm not bashing the game or anything. So ease up. I like the game, it was just something that was a bit odd to me. Were the prices lower when the game was infested with botters and kinahfarmers?
Also staying on topic. Hit 19 last night while doing some Black Claw Outpost quests with a good group of players. Got some nice Blue Crit Rings out of it too. Our casters though made out like bandits, most of the drops were caster related.
Ok, so if you had all that good gear in FFXI then just save up for some gear here, if you get level 23 Blue's they can last you until level 30 or so, I wasn't trying to be a ass but what you posted seemed like alot of the WAR/LOTR players thoughts, where they should just be handed good gear for simply logging in, when in reality it's not that easy.
The prices of crafting materials where alot lower yes (fluxes mainly) and as you may have read here crafting is pretty worthless unless you can HQ and even then there are better alternatives.
Sorry, I didn't mean to come off like that. It just seemed a bit odd to me is all that there was a sudden jump in the range of prices.
I've been brokering Lesser Accessory Fluxes since they seem to sell pretty well. Armor/Weapon Fluxes are pretty cheap on Fregion so far anyway. I sell any equipment I pick up that I cant put to use. I also extract ores/crystals/aether and sell what I dont need too. So it'll just take me time. Especially for those wings, but I can probably go without them for a while. If I see a dire need for them then I'll just stop level grinding for a while and concentrate on making enough kinah to get them.
Im far from endgame gear, but to say people who are cheap that socket past 300 crit is a ridiculous statement. Its all about whether you feel crit is worth past the 440 cap over HP or Attack. My crit is at 410/418 (depending on title) and I still use both crit food/scrolls. I still feel that Crit is worthwhile even at half its value, because our whole class is based around crit. Perhaps Ill socket attack at 50 with a bunch of Fenris gear, but even then I still see myself socketing HP or magic resist. I enjoy solo ganking and everything that benefits that, probably even so at 50... But to each his own, this is all done from me scrounging up info from a bunch of forums, and trying both attack myself.
I think some people mistake Attack as being a vital stat for Ranger. There's ALOT of other classes that benefit from it, mainly melee, because of their faster lowerended attacks. Ill probably give it a try at 50 when my gear is where I want it at, but for the moment Im loving HP/Crit to the max.
Man, Zapiel is such a cash cow with 3 golds a drop
We've been trying to get him on farm on Triniel but it's almost impossible to get a timer on him (asmo side).
Last week a couple of us were rifting and we got the global message in heiron saying some guy picked up a bow, shield, and jerkin so we had the ToD.
Btw, want to tell me his respawn window?![]()
I just wanted to reiterate this point with a FT run last night. As usual Kromede didn't put out and ALL the other party members started QQing that "the drop system really needs a fix" and the "boss should drop atleast 1 gold or 1 blue tbh", to which i reiterated; "lol WoWers expecting everything on a silver platter."
FT can put up with some dud runs since you can spam it, but timed entry instances could stand for some guaranteed useful drops on various (mini-)bosses, even if from a select pool while other good stuff can remain on the rarer side. Did 2 NTC runs on my alts earlier where the chief dropped no blues. Of course, 2 I'd done before that dropped 2 spears with no Glads in group.
There's a difference between the WoW mentality of "gimmie an epic for walking 10 feet and hitting a training dummy" and Aion's "Trek through this dungeon for 9+hrs, fight this boss that will require you to use a shit load of kineh in consumables and oh btw, it will drop a manastone 95% of the time if anything at all".
Asking for a reward for effort is fine. Fire Temple is too easy to be given golds, the boss should have just had blue weapons on her and put the extendables on bosses at lvl 45+.
I've never fought Zapiel, and don't really care if I do, but it's getting annoying hearing people who know info about him post with "ssssshhhh, don't tell!" so I did a quick google and found this.
http://www.aionsource.com/forum/gene...er-zapiel.html
I can't speak for how accurate the information is, but it could be somewhere to start at least for those trying to start Zapiel.
-Watcher Zapiel's respawn time is 48-56 hours
-- NOTE: The Maximum respawn may increase by some hours, its not figuered out yet!
-The Lights that shows up the way Spawns every 2 hours (Realtime) only when it rain's (it is raining every ingame day at 13:15 - 14:00 Gametime)
-You cant summon Party Members on the Bridge or Island!
i'd take what you say w/ a grain of salt and believe others. Zapiel is only elusive cause of the population #'s of those high enuff to kill him, when more ppl 45+ he will be farmed before even your legion (w/their Zapiel mule), can kill him.
and frankly, he was trying to be helpful... lol at ppl being so protective of an HNM as if other ppl won't find it out... and I don't think having a mule there is hard work, its extremely easy tbh
I forgot the exact details, but pretty sure the invisi bridges light up (initially) sometime between 1-2am (game time)
