Last night I was strolling through Hellron questing. A templar appears, so I run into the tree place to look him p real quick. lvl 46 temp, so figure I'll lay low for a while. I wait 30 minutes, and venture out to finish my quests. About 10 minutes in, red diamond comes in my direction. I've got my DP water spirit out, and i'm thinking I'm about to get tooled over by the guy. Shows up and immediately tries to pull me in. Fails of course as I keep Stoneskin up, so I figure, what the hell, fight it out. Someone wanna explain why he didn't resist a single spell I cast on him as I killed him? When he has 8 levels on me?

Also, getting rid of 9k+ hp is a pain in the ass, temps should rot in hell.

A bunch of his? Nah, he spent all of his time running towards me in slow mo while being pelted by HQ Seadra, or fearing into a wall and getting nuked with weaken spirit.

He prolly had pretty bad gear, its very easy to resist a caster w/ blue's/golds if your even 1 lv over them. So for him to not resist you means he had to of been a new player who hasn't spent time trying to make much money

Finally got a labs group to take out boss for Miragent's. Gone a bit batty with all the globe trotting and waiting for NPCs, but will have the gloves finished in a couple hours.

Honestly, I'm sitting here trying to figure out where I can get cash at a reasonable pace to both pay 4.16m for the Oath Stones (fuck abyss tax) and basically steadily work toward HoM synths for the legs. The ~8.4m I've blown on this was more or less the result of me selling the platinum coins I'd acquired while leveling (~800). I've basically stripped Theo of every quest possible, including the repeats. Even if I gather something that'll AH for like 1000 per, I'm looking at 4000 individually gathered items minimum per Stone. And just gathering shit like Nepeta to skill my alchemy, it'd take me an hour just to get around 100. So, really, just farming plats would get me the same result here, possibly better, while being less mundane.

I'm sure someone will snarkily comment with "get a better legion" and such, but between Kaisinel's Elyos sucking in the abyss and being questionable in the few PUGs I do get (we did wipe to Theo boss twice and had to ditch the sorc for a second cleric to win -.-), there's still the matter of populations diminishing either literally or through people just leveling alts hoping NC craps out a good update soon. And I'm personally paranoid about repeating XI life with a "better" legion trying to turn the game into a job.

^ that's what pisses me off in Aion. It's impossible to make money intelligently. Either get lucky or grind your ass off like a Chinese peasant. Fuck that.

Even Plat coins prices went to shit on Vaizel. 15k/coin is not worth it anymore. So you either hope for a gear/flux world drop in theo, or endure the opposite faction's harassment and grind on balaur guards. they drop about 3-6k kinah + selling the random mats for a steady income.

Guards would be more appealing if I wasn't a gladiator with basically underleveled gear at the moment because my luck with the rest of the game sucks. But yeah, with Asmos also having a choke hold on the abyss, it's rare to not see one unless you might be playing in the odd hours of the morning/early afternoon. The time I tried the NQ guards at Kysis, they'd do a good deal of damage to me and some types would just be impossible. The whole "enemy radar" thing doesn't help in keeping a low profile, either.

gl finishing gloves in "just a few hrs" There are a few npc's that either spawn once every 6-10 game days or just have a horrible spawn % rate. Unless you plan to lose sleep over it, it takes most ppl a few days.

Best part of grinding calydon i guess is the random drops, and selling the angel eyes is better money then spending 25k to convert it into coins. But yeah, there aren't enuff NM's to really camp for money, and you can't farm lowbie stuff because of a horrible game design, so best way to make money is grind like a chinese farmer

Second before last in Heiron (Mahelnu) just cockblocked me on a pop, so yeah. Hopefully I'm not at this too long. I woke up earlier than I wanted this morning so just started running the gauntlet, and have been lucky so far, presumably.


Since the above didn't spawn, I ran back to Sanctum to convert some manastones I'd been collecting while leveling my Cleric. Managed to HQ a couple Crit +15s to add to the 5 I had saved for Miragent's, but also HQed a few more Attack +5s. Real bonus here is going 4/4 on putting the +5s into the boots. Thought about doing (gray) crits on them, but until I finish the set (if ever) my speed boots will be on unless I'm farming in restricted areas or instancing. In which case, I'll have my crit food/scrolls and possibly a Chanter, so dumping Attack into the piece seemed most appealing. Either way, I'll be surprised if I manage to land 4 +15s into the gloves when I'm done with the 7 stones I have.

Idk, his defense was that he was banned for altering the aion.exe to aion.bin so he could run his SLI cards with the game, which tamat supposedly posted was not illegal on aionsource. He later admitted to also using g15 keyboard binds, which was not stated to be illegal as long as you were at the keyboard at the time, but now the site says it is illegal period after his banning. So take his words with a grain of salt of course, but that's what he claims happened.

It does kind of send the wrong message either way that right after they kill Dark Poeta S rank boss, they all were investigated for cheating. Also, the GM who banned him said in his ticket that their initial reason for banning him ended up being wrong, but he was guilty of something else and wont get his character back, which is a classic corporate "fuck you".
