I think people spend a lot of effort complaining about ncsoft but when you compare them to SE's customer service and such, ncsoft takes care of business in a reasonable amount of time and SE rapes your face continuously. Take their hack/rollback policies for example; ncsoft will reset your password in minutes, maybe an hour tops and will roll your shit back with 10-20 days. Se gives you a one-time item restore and puts you through hoops to get a rollback, which you're lucky if you get!

Anyway, the ncsoft forums are pretty good now. Just think how long it took for SE to offer the linkshell community (and it's BETA right??) and recall how often ppl were hacked cuz of it (theoretically anyway). And it was also three years too late anyway.

Yup. Honestly, after having 1 50 I don't even want to bother trying it again. I didn't even get my fenril boots this time around lol.

I will say that in the course of our Hairpin runs for our alts (which we just completed yesterday, finally), we saw 2 golds drop. An earring from the bar box and a pair of pants off the monkey. Even then, seeing those were a complete fluke rather than seeing something common. Its nice stuff is rare, but it doesnt need to be as rare as they want it to be.

Ehhh, I didn't have THAT bad luck on my ranger. I got lucky though; got my boots and Noah's tears on my first run lol.
Other then that I mean after doing the place a billion times I saw legs drop twice and that was it. I was hoping to get at least one piece, just having a feeling after deleteing a 50 maybe some sort of karma would kick in to give me free stuff but nah.

I just don't really see why all of the nice stuff has to be so rare. Abyss elite gear, yeah sure (even though most of it comes from dredg and upper fort instances anyway so it's not like a lot of the ap comes from pvping), and attack speed weapons ok, but would it really be bad if people were dinging 50 in sr golds and stuff?

I got the miragent's shoulders gradually, but fuck the legs. Not even going to try. DP never drops anything, theo labs and sr aren't worth the trouble for the gear (especially at 50), and jescuchi/zapiel's on 24/7 lockdown by 3 or 4 legions already so not much I can do there.

Well, let's look at the pattern.

1-20 you have whites as common, greens as rare. You have to work a bit harder to get greens, but they're usually worth it.

20-30 you have greens as common, blues as rare -- a bit more rare than greens were in 1-20, but nowadays you could still get a full set of 23/25 blue armor for under a mil. If you're ridiculously lucky, you MIGHT find a gold, but most people could grind exclusively and would never see one.

30-40, greens are the baseline, blues are somewhat rare still, but with a concerted effort you could very feasibly deck out in full blue; and golds start becoming vaguely feasible (especially once you get to FT). Golds are certainly more rare than blues were in the 20-30 range.

40-50 blues start becoming the standard, though a couple of pieces of green (especially abyss) are acceptable. At this point, golds should be, not quite AS common but closer to the scale of blues in the 30-40 range. Certainly more common than they are...

Even if it's in 20 level increments, that's 1-20 white/green, 20-40 green/blue, 40-60 blue/gold (and 50 is where oranges start being... uh... VAGUELY possible if not remotely feasible for most people).

In conclusion, fuck Kromede, fuck SR, and doublefuck DP. And fuck Adma/Theo while we're at it.

I don't even think this is the case. 40-50 blue start to become more common. We gain a few nice blues from quests and an orange weapon. They are not the standard however. Gaining the Xenophon weapon is a standard that can be kept by most classes well into their 50 grinding. The Krall/Mau boots are irreplaceable unless by SR golds or DP boots. The rest of the gear however, tends to be anything from green to blue. Mostly the SR greens that actually do drop.

Eh, you forgot 33 blue, 33 gold, 40 blue, 40 gold, 50 blue, 50 gold crafted, world drop golds, draupnir, etc. Mau/krall boots are a waste of time, just sell the molars and get some fluxes instead.

Yea... I've got 25 DP runs under my belt and the golds I have seen are a noah's tears, an elder's tears, chanter pants, sorcerer gloves, one of each of the shields, Anuhart dagger, and the awesome crit neck I won roll on. Not bad but not as lucky as that other guy!!

Not sure how good this actually is, but I was impressed with this result from a sulfur fort capture a few days ago:

This was as level 40 assassin, rank 7 at the time, and solo. I actually didn't show up until about 80% left on the deity, so I probably could have got a bit more. Normally lower forts are a <10 minute zerg fest on my server that I'm lucky to break 1k AP on, but that one I got to pound on the deity for about 30 minutes. I did get just over 4k a long time ago on my ranger on an inner fort, but didn't even know this was possible on a lower.

I gave up on DP after getting 0 golds in 8-9 runs in a row. You can get some lucky runs out there ( 2nd run I got 2 set items) but when someone asks me for a DP group I laugh it off. Spending 2.5 hours and expecting to get nothing is junk especially for junk PvE sets, it's like hoping your Dragon Deity weapon will drop every instance, it just won't happen. @ atleast 220 inner fort repeatables done and only seen one weapon drop...

Speaking of dragon deity weapons, are those only off the awakened boss? My group for upper inners currently does weakened boss, but we get 8 chests, would we be able to move on to the awakened one?
