The LFG channel is still a good tool even though all the RMT spam is a hassle. RMT are ever-present but they're finite. Once you block about 6 that should be about it until they use new accounts the next day or evening. Unfortunately the RMT spam also causes a lot of bored actual players to talk endlessly about the RMT spam.

So do you think they aren't doing anything about them because NCsoft wants the money/data from the monthly subscription fees and game copy itself?

NCsoft is trying to get rid of RMTs, they're just inept. They've tried banning IPs and banning people who were blocked by enough other people, but the only people that's gotten rid of are paying customers.

They used a blanket ban, where if your name has been blocked "X" times u were flagged and 90% chance gonna be banned. Then you have to go through trying to contact their horrible support and wait for a response in w/ your account "may" be re-activated w/ a warning attached that you are being closely monitored lol.

Maybe they have banned a lot of RMT in the process, but the spam has not lessened to any degree and I still see the same bots running around that I have seen for over a week. Even when they said they "Disabled character creation on 10 servers", I still saw new spam during that time.

I don't get how hard it is to put 1 GM on each server who watched chat and just ban's all the spammers.. it rly shouldn't be hard and you cant flag that account pretty easily even if they are name changing / deleting every couple hours. But this is the result of a GM-less game lol

I managed to finally snag a world drop while trying to farm my Wind Spirit III. Only info I could find on it was Cruel Worgs out by the Hot Springs. So I spent god knows how many hours killing them and competing with some Glad for them. I'm still surprised I managed a world drop before the darn skill book..

Although, mine have 5 slots instead of the 4 shown there. Guildies are saying I could get atleast 5mil for them because of the stats + number of slots. Who knows.

Well, on my server people are selling the Lv25 world drops for 2.5m, so I'd bet you could easily do 5m for that, good luck finding a buyer though Lol

the chat is handled by separate servers, it's not the same as the game server. a lot of spam is coming from characters which do not really exist on the game server and that's the main issue which ncsoft is dealing with regarding spam. at least according to AS.

This is exactly what i did on my SM, sold the blue gear made monies and now its gone on gearing a templar XD.

Just about level 29. I need to upgrade most of my gear in a bad way but I'm having trouble finding steady sources of income suddenly. I can only gather so long and crafting just isn't there yet. Definitely need something soon.
