Tropico 3
Tropico 3
If you're into the city-building and resource management games, definitely give the demo a try on Steam. I absolutely loved the quirky setting and strategic gameplay of the original Tropico, and Tropico 3 looks to deliver alot more.
The graphics engine is beautiful; all of the trailers I've seen so far use the in-game engine. The demo is a bit lacking in instruction on how to actually manage your population, but it's pretty easy to get the hang of.
After discovering that you can continue your games indefinitely in the demo I would up playing one island for about 5 hours on Thursday night; good stuff. When presented with the "win" screen for a scenario hit Esc, save your game, then load that saved game and you can keep playing. Some edicts don't work, and elections will never happen but it's a fun way to keep building. You can also place buildings that are not available in the demo through the right-click build menu by binding a key in the options menu for those forbidden buildings.
Anyone else try it out yet?
