OWNED!
OWNED!
So there is a giant tower that has been chilling in Africa for 18 years without anyone noticing? Ok.
Was the bong scene with the fat white guy a Harold and Kumar reference? Or am I looking too much into it?![]()
First thing I thought of was Harold and Kumar but really didn't see it as a reference. As an actor in a serious role like that, I'd hate to be constantly remembered as the stoner. (Although I always will remember him as Harold.)
Is this show starting to draw any of you in after last week?
Personally speaking, the first half hour I kinda "skimmed" while surfing the web but the second half I actually started paying attention because the suspense hit me. Once that reference was made about how "Harold" (I still don't know everyone's names) was in control of the fat dude's future, I had a feeling that the old dude was playing the FBI agents but I guess I also took that "leap of faith" that he was actually trying to help.
It's only the first few episodes but I do want to see how everyone's future turns out so if anything, that's what's gonna keep me watching this until the season finale.
I found this one more interesting than last week's, possibly because they're (somewhat blatantly) making hints about the possibility of things not coming true. Not really sure why the FBI guy didn't bust the dude for the bong though since if he could make it so that stuff in one person's vision doesn't come true it would give him hope to not die.
I just hope that the whole punchline to the series isn't stupid. Also, I'm not sure how they're going to extend it past what happens in the first 13 (22 if they get more ordered) episodes to a second season.
I just watched the first 1.5 episodes and stopped. I'm going to have to side with Aduid in regards to the unbelievability factor. Also, how are so many planes crashing? There's this thing called "autopilot" and even so, 2 minutes is a whole lot of time to descend from 30,000+ feet. Also why was there government air rescue? Was there no fear over the same incident happening again?
The thing that really bothered me though was the constant "flashes" during the show. I felt as if I was watching a Disney drama for 12 year olds. I don't need flashes every time a character enters the room to remember what they saw; I can remember what they all saw and put 2 and 2 together. I guess they are there because the show already drags on to begin with, and they need to do SOMETHING to fill the 40 minutes.
Only remotely interested in the dude who left the stadium, but don't care enough to keep watching honestly.
Sadly, I feel kind of the same way about this show. Enjoyed the first episode, felt kind of bleh after the second, couldn't even finish the third. My expectations for this show were too high, or this show is just way too boring for me to keep following. =(
I will just wait for Lost in January.
Maybe some of the crashed planes were on a landing sequence or taking off. If people black out midfight, the wheel can turn in all kinds of directions.
I highly doubt the gov wouldn't send out air rescue even considering what just happened. Its their job to send air rescue, not sit there in fear that it'll happen again. If it happened twice within a close timeframe, maybe i'd rethink sending out air rescue, otherwise yea...
The 2nd half of the 3rd episode is the good part; Brings back the suspense of the first episode.
They reveal a few more hints about the incident and moving the plot forward nicely.
It'll probably follow the pattern of 1 good, 1 bad episode to flush out char story between the main storyline.
I'm still gonna follow this in hopes they figure out what the exact cause is.
Just wondering, but how closely does the show follow the book? I haven't read the book, but at least from the plot summary, it doesn't seem like the cause of the blackout in the show will turn out to be the same as the one in the book.
Were we supposed to be looking at the tower or the clouds behind it? All I saw were the clouds moving in an ominous way, like something was about to appear (a spaceship?!) lol.
I'm going to give this show one more chance, but after last week I think the awful dialogue is going to end up driving me away from the interesting story.
IGN: FlashForward's Future Is Looking Good
picked up/renewed for 12 more eps
I really want to like this show, but I find myself struggling every week to watch it. I'm usually farting around on the PC during the show and then get ready for Fringe. I see myself giving up on it in a few more weeks if it doesn't pick up a bit.
Fuck yea charlie!
Charlie! Oh, how I missed you.
ok charlie, now that we know you're behind this disaster, get back to the island. they miss you.
Wait so the wife is going to sleep with the kid's dad? Shit, I'm glad they showed that scene 40 times so I could finally figure it out. Oh and just a hunch but I think the asian dude is worried he's gonna die.
It's a shame such an awesome opening sequence got wasted on the rest of this crap.
How bad was that blonde's acting at the end? She basically just showed us her troll face for 5 minutes.
Also agreed on how stupid they think the audience is. HEY, YOU REMEMBER EVERYONE'S VISION? LET'S SHOW THEM ALL AGAIN JUST IN CASE.
