It appears to be like if you sleep for 8 hours you don't dream for 8.
Well, the (new) Dad is also involved in the Blackout, so it's entirely possible that D Gibbons (or whoever it was she said) is there to see the dad.

For the most part it seems like there's maybe about 15mins worth of interesting stuff and the rest all has to do with stuff we've seen in every episode thus far ("zomg, you're gonna leave me for some other guy", "oh noes, you're drinking again", "I has no future T_T"). The Blue Hand thing has some promise though. Hoping they focus on that instead of the same Flash Forward recaps.

It started with a lot of potential, but I dunno if I'll keep watching past the first season..
Completely agree. The music never fits the situation properly, like the music while the main agent was chasing the kids in the masks, and then the overly dramatic music while the awkward scene was happening with the British guy in their house.

I don't understand why they follow what they found in their flash forwards so blindly. It's like they don't even question it. "well i saw this in my flash forward, I must follow it!"

Well I think they're doing that on purpose because the plot seems to be going in the direction of going against fate. Some events are happening in the story that's causing them to think maybe they can't escape their fate. On the same note there seems to be events that are contradicting that fate so I they're slowing questioning how absolute that fate seems to be.

After the last episode, if the main characters don't start questioning their fast forwards then I'd say I agree, it's getting stupid.

I guess we have to just wait and see.

I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever know what caused it or they'll just focus on trying to change it and that's that. How are blue hands supposed to be related to Charlie and the retarded kid's father? Shit makes no sense imo.

The plot of the show is starting to get really shaky. Yeah, that one guy had a flash forward and then committed suicide, showing what happens in the flash forwards isn't necessarily the future, but how is it that they never considered if anyone else tried doing that before, especially if they were in a similar situation?

I found myself thinking of this show the other day, and I realized the premise itself bugs me. Everybody sees their future, 6 months from the present. Why are they all acting normally? They all know, on that day, that they're about to get an opportunity to change their past. Why aren't people showing themselves the lottery numbers or the stocks or sending important personal messages?

    Been thinking this too.

    Short answer: show is dumb.

Although I am glad they showed that the flash forwards aren't guaranteed to happen, I feel they destroyed the premise of the show a bit early.. Then again, I was tired of them relying/believing in the flash forwards so much, so maybe I shouldn't be complaining.

I'll chime in with my two cents on the series so far.

The premise is good, if you had the ability to see (or not) a possible future you'd likely strive to change it for the better. as seen in the last episode he killed himself to make a future better for 3 people.

Many of the characters in the series seem to be following their flashforwards blindly because they feel that there maybe an inevitable force putting them on this path, this is the main thinking behind marks motives and hes trying to use this FF to change the way his destiny is going (ie no marriage & returning to drinking) but also to prevent such a huge disaster from happening again.

but also Janis and Aaron have seen a future where it was seemingly unlikely, janis being pregnant while also being a lesbian (wtf?) and Aaron's daughter who supposedly died in action. the more recent episodes have started addressing these points, but brings me to the overall point of the FlashForwards, if they hadn't seen these FlashForwards would any of these things have actually happened?, it seems somewhat unlikely to me that it would, mainly in Janis' case, if she hadn't seen herself pregnant she wouldn't have felt a maternal pull to have a child.

One of the more pressing questions being what are Lloyd & Simon's connection to eachother?, they look to have worked together to study the idea of looking to the future and possibly created the 3 towers in Sudan. Lloyd & Simon are unlikely to be suspect 0 because they both had FlashForwards, the series is getting more interesting as it goes on, but how likley are they to pull a second season out?.

PS; biggest clue we have so far is that Kangaroo, i think skippy did it, he was the mastermind behind it all.

Think the finale is either gonna be some evil entity is gonna escape, the world's gonna have another flash forward, or both. Can't really see any other way how they're gonna continue this show after the season ends

Magisters Terrace was merely a set back sort of thing, i wouldn't think that it'd be likely to happen, but another global blackout could be likely, but this time 20 years into the future.
