Can we tone down some of the avatars?

This may or may not be the place to put this, but it's probably true for the people that post in FFXI~land and not spam~land. There have always been some risque avatar and sigs, but lately some of them have been getting a bit much for work, which is where I would guess that a bunch of us read the forums from.

I am not blaming spam at all, because there is an expectation of that kind of thing there. But posting with those avatars and sigs in the FFXI forum can be a little NSFW.

And yes, I could turn off sigs and avatars, but I can't read and I can only tell who is posting by their sigs and avatars.

You can always use adblock to block specific images.

Please post examples. I'm curious what you find that offensive (as the line is drawn in different places for different people, obviously)

I browse at work all day, and I just stay away from the "Fuck or Duck NSFW" thread. Everything else is usually ok, save the occasional "random picture" post. But I think that one is marked NSFW anyways.

I don't think I've seen any sigs or avatars yet that I would mark "offensive", so I'm curious.

No need to make a whole thread about this. Best way to handle this is to report the people with NSFW avatars so that we can change them. Also there is the adblock function if you use firefox.
