    When evolutionists started winning.

Did anyone say a prayer for that Jesustroll's thread that was unjustly locked?

Exactly what I was thinking. People in my family believe that the bible called Dinosaurs "behemoths" and so they did exist about 1000 years ago. They basically believe that God killed them simply because he could and to show man his real power. >.>

My mom seriously believes the Devil placed Dinosaur/Dragon bones in the ground to create doubt in the Lord.

Yep lots of people subscribe to that idea. Mankind is forever being punished for remotely thinking outside the box or questioning any and everything.

My mom was especially bad about that. She once told my brothers and I "Don't ever question anything in this book, I don't want you to go to hell. Mama loves you and wants you to live forever in heaven". Ummm ok, so I'm supposed to take a book that was written by man and never ever question it or ask for proof? Yet if I do its irrefutable proof that the Devil is trying to get to me?

    Yeah ok.

I remember being 8 years old and we were having a picnic and I asked my mother if when I died would God show me the Universe and what its like on other Planets, to which she replied an ecstatic "Yes, absolutely".

I think that was the only time in my life that I wanted him to be real. As a lot of you know I have a bit enamored with space, so this appealed to me on levels few know. But then as I got older I knew that no one could ever answer questions and there was never any proof of anything. I would get shut down by family for asking if Nessie was real as well as Bigfoot.

This was the 80s when Indiana Jones was king and anything crytozoological was hoax this, hoax that, we need proof of this yada yada yada. Yet not one person every clamored for proof of God of if anything in the bible was true. No one knows where Noah's ark is, even though it would be the size of a mountain. Nothing regarding the whereabouts of the solid gold, floating ark of the covenant etc.

Long story short I grew up, me being a glutton for knowledge I decided to find answers to shit that bugged me regarding my religious upbringing and low and behold I find that Church is a business and nothing more. They give praise to one thing and that's the all mighty dollar.

From what I remember from sunday school (lol) when I was a little kid the ark was only a few hundred feet long, hardly a mountain.

Yeah I think they used cubits? I was trying to give them some kind of credit I mean there are millions of different species on this planet, some of which have yet to be discovered, yet he had access to them? Also iirc he wanted 2 of every clean animal and 7 of unclean?

I mean even if we assume he only took 2 of each and could only fit 500,000 males and 500,000 females on his magic boat and we shrunk every elephant, chicken, lion, Giraffe, Hippo, Catfish and bass down to 1" each the boat would still need to be some 17 miles long and made of wood.

Assuming of course he didn't take food, water and the animal didn't poop. If they did then his boat would be easily 30 miles long. But then we forget that he had Dinosaurs on there as well and his family needed a place to sleep... I mean I've said it before but this wooden boat would make the Titanic and the Queen Mary look like kayaks. I'm not going to imagine had he put 2 million animals on his boat.

Hence the "size of a mountain" assumption. I'm trying to give benefit of the doubt here.

By the way, I'm pretty sure that's the Creation Museum in Kentucky. It's near the Indiana/Ohio/Kentucky boarder. It's about 25 minutes from where I live. It's embarassing. lol (I live in Indiana not lolKentucky btw)

I thought there was some pseudo-scientific reasoning for life spans "back then". Human beings lived longer because there were fewer of them, and there was some inverse corrolation between population and life expectancy. Or... God allowed man to live longer so as to better procreate or some junk.
