Do you like your entire playlist?

I recently got a few thousand songs from my cousin. Since I didn't know where to start, I played the shit on shuffle and I found myself deleting things on about a 4:1 ratio (not counting the tracks that were already mine).

I'm curious to know if you guys download full albums and just keep the whole thing for the sake of collecting whether or not you like all the tracks, or if you prune each bad song so there isn't one you dislike.

If you don't like most of the stuff you have, then how about delete 5 songs and post the 5 you deleted.

    nope

I have a complicated situation involving 400-600 CD's (I lost count), my old and new computer, the old having legit windows but very little storage, and the new one being unable to install zune software due to the annoying copy of windows my brother installed when he built this thing for me

anyways, due to me not wanting to burn all my cd's onto my computer more than once when I figure out a work around/get unlazy, I have about 450 songs on my zune, of which I listen to Girl Talk and Hot Chip the most and otherwise I'll shuffle all and skip quite a few songs at a time

I actually miss the days of CD's where I'd listen to a whole album, but now youtube and mp3's have made me very lazy and I've ost a lot of the album experience, other than ones I already know

I'm so lazy I won't even go to my CD collection, try to find the CD I'm looking for and play the 3-4+ tracks on a CD that I might want to hear

and listening to 1 song at a time is pretty meh and I don't want to spend my time constantly picking songs, so added to the complications listed before, my music collection is actually somewhat in limbo and I really only listen to CD's when I'm in my gf's car

I really should delete a bunch of crap like shitty radiohead + other songs but it's easier to just click random than deleting the song. Half the time I delete the song I forget to save the new playlist so the next time I open it up the song is back being boring.

what frustrates me is not liking an entire artists' catalogue

some remixes are incredibly abraisive, some songs have sections I don't like where a perfectly good song to kill yourself to suddenly has a blaze of loud-part just when the melatonin was setting in

I sometimes use Audacity for tracks like that and just edit out the shitty parts. It sometimes slips my mind though, and when I finally remember, I don't give a shit to do it anymore.

mogwai has a song off of EP+6, Christmas Song perhaps (it's instrumental as is 95% of their catalogue, their titles are pretty useless) where in this 10 minute song around the 3 minute mark there is about 3 instances where I swear someone slammed a door in the studio

2 of these times scared the everloving shit out of me

honestly what are they trying to do? god love them and any and all contribution they made to the Fountain Soundtrack absolutely redeemed them (as if they needed redeeming after Rock Action and My Father My King which immortalized them for me) but that little bit pretty much makes me skip the song

If I find myself skipping over a track on occasion when I have it on shuffle I just remove it... so I guess you could say yes, I do like my entire playlist, since I haven't felt the need to remove anything in awhile.

if i find a song i like, i dl the album. If i like a lot of the album I get the discography. I actually rate my songs and will normally just listen to my top rated playlist on shuffle. If I'm feeling experimental though, I'll turn shuffle on my songs and start rating new things.

I don't listen to the vast majority of the songs on my ipod. Weird.

Hot Chip? YouTube - Hot Chip - "Over and Over"

I have like 25k+ songs on my desktop and don't listen to most of them.

I listen to all 100 or so songs on my iphone though, such it's such a royal fucking pain in the ass to transfer songs to it without using itunes.
