Reason this is stupid: Original model PS3's upconvert PS2 games to a higher resolution. If that's all that these releases do you're paying more money for a game you might already own to make it look better.

I'm not gonna enjoy the PS4 and Xbox 720 then. I like replacing old consoles in my cabinet with the new and still be able to play the old games. Not having to expand my cabinet under the TV to fit more consoles is a great plus of BC for me (and is why I have an old PS3 60G full BC). Storing the old console without BC on the new just makes a nice portion of my game collection useless, which Sony only wants to "fix" by having me pay for the game again from PSN? No thanks, expanding cabinets is cheaper.
