Enjoyed the episode, but was I the only one who wondered where the hell they got leather chairs for TJ's psych evals? lol

Would you have said anything if it was a straight couple with the exact same setting? If you're going to dislike a show for focusing on the people's relationships, that's fine. But I find it stupid to dislike because they wanted to throw in a lesbian couple in the mix.
Who doesn't like lesbians? Honestly.
Why not a gay couple?![]()
Technically aren't lesbians gay?
I'd rather watch two guys make out and fuck than two girls![]()
all sci-fi shows made since 2000 generally include 1 gay/lesbian couple as a way for "liberal hollywood" to remind us of our relative barbarism and show that the future will thankfully be free of such discrimination
Yeah, that's what I thought while watching that. I'm a little tired so my memory is suspect, but from the little we saw of Wrey's marriage, it's the most stable and supportive romantic relationship of any SG series. A quiet way for the writers to advance social issues, one of the best traditions of sci-fi.
I remember when Franklin/Marcus pretended to be a gay couple on their honeymoon in order to infiltrate the Martian resistance in Babylon 5, which at the time was a pretty big deal.
That last episode was pretty lame... I guess the chair discovery was nice though.
Oh and pretty good song!
well so far this show has been a Winner for me so Im happy![]()
im not against lesbians or gays being in shows but for FUCK sakes this is my science fiction and the 2nd spinoff of a great show. i think they added the lesbo scene in there just to lubricate our buttholes i really dont think it was necessary at all
lol, I don't know what "lubricate our buttholes" means in context here but it definitely took me by surprise.
I've been wondering from your last couple posts, what is it that keeps you watching SGU? It seems like you're waiting for it to morph into SG-1: On A Boat Edition, but it's been clear since before the show premiered that they were going with a very different tone this time.
It's not just sci-fi shows though and not just for the male demographic. I think there's some regulation now that requires shows to meet a quota of gay/lesbian content. If you watch Trauma, one of the main guy characters is gay. That one FBI chick on White Collar is a lesbian, but they haven't pushed any hot lesbian action (yet).
The romantic scenes aren't really needed, but yeah I guess it does go along with this new BSG-U direction for a space drama. In a future episode, someone's going to use the stones to explore "the other side" to a relationship. It could be related to this, and was this purpose... to set a foundation, albeit kinda lame.
I wish it was more Stargate and less drama, but meh, it's something at least. This past episode was a little dull to me, no big story, stuff just happened lol. It's like the filler between fillers.
All the men complaining about the 2 chicks getting it on need to head downtown to their nearest man store and hand in their testicles right now.
Useless episode... Which is a shame, cause the episode before was excellent.
