@ Trocian. He most likely didn't want them to know. And he HAS to be really depressed. If anyone has been in the military, your CO takes it personally when someone under his/her command dies. And he has seen a few go and this one he had to do himself to end the suffering. Poor guy. (both of them)

oh, I was referring more to a "rebel crew" having to be integrated into theirs, the Maquis vs the Aleutians. I mean I know the whole being lost/stuck aspect of the story, but that's been there since ep1

I also really felt bad for the whole situation. Riley accepted his fate though. I had to rewatch the part a few times, but he trapped his hands behind his back so he wouldn't struggle, he asked for it :/

Telford will definitely be back. I expect those aliens will play a role like the Asgard in Stargate: Universe, probably mostly coming to help in times of "dire need". I mean, just look at the guy they captured, he's too cute to be evil. Besides, if they were evil, wouldn't they just have killed the guys rather than stun them?

I thought about that at the last second too. But then the conversation he had with his "wife" on the bridge leaves me to believe maybe not.
