It'll all be explained if we meet them again prolly. To be honest, if they aren't evil, I dunno why they would be draining power away from Destiny. Perhaps they did it so they wouldn't leave so they could communicate with them, or maybe they took back the power they stole from them, I dunno.

Well, when you think about the amount of information the aliens had, siphoning Destiny's power doesn't seem so much "evil" as retaliatory. What did the aliens actually know? That a group of aliens from a species they've never seen have just showed up on the ship they have to live on and started drawing power away from it. For all the aliens knew, Destiny's crew planned on taking their entire reserves and leaving the aliens on a dead ship. They see this and go "Fuck that! We're taking THEIR reserves!"

If you have seen one the movies MGM has produced, you have probably seen 100, but the movie giant is now filing for bankruptcy. MGM owns the Stargate franchise, which is waiting for MGM to pay it for recent film productions. Unfortunately for Stargate, MGM is in debt to the tune of $4 billion, which has caused the movie studio to halt production on new films and apparently has halted its ability to pay its bills as well. MGM has been able to get its creditors to extend its loan payments, while it tries to find another company to buy it out. While MGM did receive some bids for the purchase, the offers did not come in at the rate the studio was expecting, and so far no negotiations or contracts are under way. In the end, it leaves only one option for MGM, which is bankruptcy.

Last I heard they are entering into a deal with SpyGlass entertainment. As long as SyFy continues ordering SG:U it should be okay(MGM could still sell it though). As for the movies...all they have said is that the Bond franchise and The Hobbit will be taking priority once they get going again.

I just got caught up with the new season. I fucking love this show! Chloe definitely was 'affected' by her time captured by the aliens. Pretty confident Telford will be around again. Obviously those aliens know the ancient's language, and if he knows a little he might be able to communicate. Would have been better if that random military guy hadn't started shooting at the one they were bringing back when he ran. We don't know though, those aliens could have arrived on the seed ship the same way the humans did on destiny.

Otherwise these two last episodes were pretty cool. Eli lost weight and Young and Rush are both shaping up to be some evil motherfuckers.

Its possible, but I don't think so.

I've been thinking though, they were obviously in some kind of hibernation. Their ship has insane amounts of power, and yet they were floating still right in Destiny's path. I'm suspecting they knew Destiny would pass and dock there, and were just lying in wait until it did. Whether or not they knew there would be humans on the ship I don't know, but obviously someone has known, considering the planet that were specifically made for them - so its possible they knew. They obviously know how to control the ship, so I highly doubt they were stranded.

It still raises the question of what their intent is. Do they lie in wait like a predator to trap the seed ships and steal their energy (i.e evil), or did they do it to somehow help them out?

the station was designed by the ancients and was put there on purpose. it was also said in the episode that it was one of the stations that manufactured the gates and supplied the seed ships with gates to plant on planets before destiny arrived.

if anything those aliens dropped themselves off and were simply waiting for destiny as they knew it would be coming somehow.

Oh, it was a station? I must have missed that part of the episode, I thought it was another ship that had a lot of gates left over.

It wasn't a station, it was one of the seed ships. I don't know where anyone would get a different idea. Remember, the ancients never actually visited the galaxy Destiny is in, they just launched Destiny and the seed ships and planned to dial from the icarus planet later. They couldn't have built any stations.

i will have to re-watch the episode but i could have swore rush said in the scene where they were looking at the gates that the gates were built there and transferred to the seed ships.

i could be wrong i've only watched the ep once

No, they showed him the room in the seed ship where the stargates were made. It wasn't a station, it was a seed ship.

As much as I want them to fucking kill Chloe off, they won’t. She’s going to be the key for Rush to truly unlock the ship. I think most of the Lucian Alliance people are going to play nice except for that one dude. He’ll probably kill someone in the next few episodes.
