I don't think EA would sign off on it. They are far too profitable to be bought out.
Hard to tell, Micro$oft has shown that they are willing to print money in order to get a larger share in the gaming industry, I wouldn't put this past them.
Microsoft trying to monopolize the gaming industry now too? What a surprise. I think this would rumble the gaming industry quite a bit if this goes through.
Yeah I sure hope this doesnt come to fruition.
Oh look, I'm so trendy and clever calling Microsoft "M$."
Actually I can see good things happening with this. MS may fuck things up on their own front with game studios, but from a bureaucratic standpoint MS could fix a lot of the stupid shit EA pulls, like securom.
EA doesn't really have any system sellers that would hurt sony, but no madden would absolutely kill the PS3 in the US.
whats the difference EA bought other company's and fucked them up. gogo MS
If EA was bought out, Microsoft would make more money if Madden(and etc) continued being released on the PS3.
Whats the difference with madden? I always like 2k sports more but when EA bought the rights to the NFL name and shit only madden mattered. All you're posts are WAHHHHH 360 omfg PS3 is so hawt stop being a tool and get them both, both systems have a strong point and good games.
Yeah, I guess the U.S. Justice Department and the EU Commission was wrong then. Just in case you need to recap on the English language, I did say "trying". Buying out one of the biggest multi-platform developers is a big step in that direction. It would be like Sony buying out Activision and keeping MW2 exclusive. EA is a lot more profitable as a multi-platform company, it would be a huge risk for MS to do this, then have EA lose it's licenses because FIFA/NFL etc want their game on as many platforms as possible.
If it does go through, it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
