That's what I was thinking, they'd possibly lose out on that and the FIFA license. Doesn't make sense after MS has been letting go/firing their dev companies recently. Not to mention EA is worth around $8-$10 billion right now, would be a pretty big risk, right?

EA has a license to print money. Also MS would buy EA and I would imagine let them continue to make 3rd party titles for Ps3. It would be a smart business move if they allowed it.

Personally, I don't care either way, as I have both a 360 and a PS3. I've always had all consoles for each generation. PS2 was better than Xbox, and now 360 is better than PS3. Nintendo still sucks no matter what gen they do (minus NES and SNES)

EA is just as guilty as "M$" (fucking CHRIST, just seeing that makes my blood boil from people's stupidity) for being a monopoly seeing all the shit EA has snatched up in the last few years. I don't even consider them monopolies. Nothing wrong with smart business.

hope it happens. EA was busy buying up smaller studios and cockblocking good games from coming out. Microsoft buying up EA is just a big fish getting eaten up by a bigger fish. Maybe this'll make microsoft such a huge threat to nintendo they'll start caring about the more hardcore playerbase again along with the shovelware they spoon feed to the "casual" gamer.

It would, assuming this is true and goes through, and assuming that is MS's intent. I have no idea what to think as they have recently been dismantling their development studio's, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what MS's plan is, if this is true.

If I had a guess, they're going to consolidate all their non-local studios into a campus not unlike the main EA campus. Instead of having several teams of a dozen or so people on several projects at once, have a massive development team on 2-3 instead.

Honestly, it's not a terrible idea. I'm sure it'll be haphazardly implemented and the first couple of games will show it, but in the end they'll get it right.

Ok first off, you are a retard for thinking your clever for writing M$.

Secondly, if Microsoft is smart. If they do take-over EA they won't cease their Ps3 support, MS will make much more cash if they continue development for Ps3.
