Oh no. I give Palmer a lot of credit because he is a damn good quarterback. But let's be honest here. We're not talking about Cleveland's defense here. We're talking about one of the perennial top three defenses in the league. I'm going to say right now that if the Steelers end up going 7-9 I'm not going to be shocked. Problems running the ball aside, the Steelers are essentially the same team as last year. Same shitty offensive line, same running backs, same defensive line etc.
They were able to beat a good Titans team but then lost to an ok Bears squad and then the Bengals. Long story short, if what is happening to the Steelers right now isn't a Super Bowl hangover, nothing is. They can still right the ship. It's only week three. But they need to figure out why the defense has become a liability instead of an asset all of a sudden. And no, while Polamalu plays a huge role on the d side, it takes eleven people to play.
