I'm not going to comment on Palmer except to say, we'll see how his stats and their record looks at the end of the year. Palmer has all the tools to be successful. They are same exact tools he's had for the last how many years. And he hasn't done anything. So I can't say they look for real yet just based on that alone.

Palmer has been successful, the team hasn't. His numbers have dropped, although not as much as one would think. Marvin Lewis thinks this is a run first team, and beefed up the o-line with massive fucking players, which takes away the no huddle which Palmer was 2nd best at (Peyton is pro in no huddle). If you look at yesterdays game, you'll notice that if you run a 2 minute drill, or a no huddle, Palmer is god with finding receivers and coming in clutch.

Here's some stats to show you how bad he's "not done anything". (since ankle injury)
2006: 62.3% Comp 4,035 yards 28TD 13INT
2007: 64.9% Comp 4,131 yards 26TD 20INT (Statistically his worst season, but I'd take that shit in a heartbeat with a good defense)
2008: Missed 12 games with season ending elbow injury, but he wasn't very good through 4 games, could be because he had 2 WRs sit out through camp, but I digress.

I don't know about you, but those are pretty good to great years coming off acl reconstruction.

But hey, since he's not done anything and we'll base it off team records, let's look at team stats for those years.

2006:
Rushing: Ranked 26th in rushing offense, averaging only 100 yards a game, and a weak 3.7 ypc. Passing ranked 6th
Defense: Ranked 30th in the league, allowing over 350 yards a game of total offense. Allowing over 20 points per game
Bengals missed playoffs this season by one game on a botched snap on an extra point (or kick off, I can't remember) and a long Santonio Holmes reception in OT.
2007:
Rushing: Ranked 24th in rushing offense but only averaging 97 yards a game, and still 3.7 ypc. Passing ranked 7th in Palmers worst year
Defense: Ranked 27th in the league, still allowing about 350 yards a game of total offense. This time allowing over 24 points a game.
Bengals finish under.500 for first time under Lewis.
