When we moved here it was relatively quiet, the community was rather new and all, only problem being it was built on top of/next to a shit neighborhood that I guess they bought out a part of to build over. Honestly, it's weird, but I do feel a bit more at ease when I'm alone at home and know that the gun's there in case of emergency. I never have done very well living on my own, generally tend to wake up to even the slightest noise out of paranoia-- fantastic insomnia spell first year of college. At least this way I know I do have a last resort because there's not many places in the house to effectively hide should someone break in. Bonus is it's been kinda a fun bonding experience with my dad learning how to shoot the gun/get better with my aim at the range.
